I don't preach just shared wat is useful and will help others, I learn that wen u post freebie they don't value it, wen it's paid stuff u will see dem rushing to buy the info...like ebook.

There is more than enough information on this thread to get even a newbie started on Upwork. Everything from signing up to solid proposal writing has been covered time and again by hundreds of Nairalanders.

The problem is with some people here is their desire to reach the finish line without running the course. They want the start-making-millions-now-with-zero-skills walkthrough — and even that might not be enough.

Forget the noise: the Nairalanders thriving on Upwork may be barely getting enough sleep in a bid to polish their skills and stay ahead of others. Nothing — including the Upwork hustle — is easy, so stop complaining.

You just have to be persistent. I haven't gotten a job on the forum too but of recent I try to send proposals as much as I can. I have gotten some responses from clients but it never pulled through. I believe I definitely will get a Job on the site one day as long as I am persistent.

I have been applying what Qtguru said, go straight to the point and don't send proposals for jobs with a high number of proposals like 50.

You're contradicting yourself, freebies are taken for granted yet you chastise me for not posting what I know as a freebie, what exactly are u saying, let's say I even post it, of what gain is it, they'll end up crowding it and ruining the little I am managing, and when it's ruined they'll go back to making cool bucks on Upwork and hoard every info they have, ignoring those who want to learn, they don't condemn themselves for that, but when it comes to me heaven will fall, not like I owe them anything, none of them have helped me so I'm not obligated to give back, freebie or no, besides I was humble when I was begging for info, because I know no one owes me anything, this one you're all saying I am hoarding info and even feeling entitled about it lol, one good turn deserves another.

Concerning the survey, I actually needed it to share with someone that's struggling to get clients on Upwork so them go use am hold body while waiting for the big break. I actually no need am for myself cos I'm doing pretty good.

This isn't personal or anything, nor am I hoarding anything, I do some surveys myself, it's not like I have everything as far as surveys are concened that's why I opted for dropping numbers and exchanging ideas, I can't be organizing tutorials online just to prove a point, nor expect people to take it seriously, like you said whatever is given free is hardly appropriated, good luck to you, I'm only correcting your notion that I am hoarding info, had you not brought the Matter up we wouldn't be having an exchange by now.

Money dey every niche. Most of the people wey dey complain for this thread, take Upwork as side hustle. No investment and nothing. Most think once u create account, send one or two badly written proposals e don finish. Ask them when last they go youtube watch videos from top freelancers dey no remember.
