Kab al Ahbar is the person who had been instrumental in interpolating the greatest number of Jewish anecdotes and parables into Islam. That is not how this works. You cannot have me first answer to benchmark what you may or may not know. Hadith's collected in Bukhari and Muslim are not all that are classified as Sahih or are they?

Was Kab not a well learnt Rabbi, was he not closely associated with the Sahaba particularly 2 Caliphs? Was Bukhari alive or born in the lifetime of Muhammad or the early Caliphs? What makes him so important? Does Bukhari not have contradictory hadith?
