Tobi Amusan's Doping Case Isn't Due to Racism. by MercyStan(f): 7:41am On Sep 19, 2023 |
One reason I don't like Nairaland is due to the level of ignorance shown here. And this thread is directed those ignorant people accusing the 'white' of racism due to the doping charges leveled at Tobi Amusan. The doping charges leveled against Tobi Amusan isn't due to racism like most of you think. Not everything is racism, but because you guys love to play victim, you see racism in everything. It is clear most of you don't watch athletics. If you did you will know that almost all record holders on the tracks are blacks. The fastest woman alive: Elaine Thompson is a Black woman from Jamaica. The current fastest woman in the 1500: Faith Kipyegon is a Black woman from Kenya. The current fastest women in the 5000 and 1000 are all black women from Africa The current fastest woman alive in the 200 metres is: Sherrica Jackson, a Black woman from Jamaica Black women own the tracks. Yet when a Black woman is accused of doping, you still claim racism? You guys will never go far if you keep playing victim for everything, especially things you clearly have a genetic advantage in. 1 Like |

Don't waste your time. The average Nigerian is blinded by ethnic and/or religious sentiments. It's even ironic that Nigerians who are clearly and highly divided along ethnic and religious lines in the same country will accuse "the whites" of racism against blacks 1 Like |

Nbote: It's actually confusing because they are so quick to call the whites racist but these are the same "namecheckers" who stain almost every thread on the frontpage with their disgusting tribalism. Like I'm so confused. Athletics is the most unracist sport ever because 90% of the time it's black people that perform better and are given better opportunities. How can you claim racism when Tobi was competing against with her fellow blacks? It's not like it was a white event and Tobi was competing among whites. 3 Likes |

Besides, Okagbare just got banned for 10 years for doping. She set a bad precedent for Nigerian Athletes so it's no surprise that another Nigerian Athlete Tobi Amusan has the torch on her. |

MercyStan: What about Marion Jones who forfeited her Olympic gold medals for doping, did it cause them to focus negatively on American atheletes? At the end of the day there's an element of unfairness in it. 1 Like |

CalmElder: Up to the point where they suspend them without cause and make it affect their training and start losing competitions? You clearly don't get the point here... 1 Like |
