Hello Everyone. Many thanks for this thread and the help being offered to the community.

I need some advise please.

I recently received a passport request from IRCC. See my timeline below
Application Submitted - July 24, 2023
Biometrics - August 8, 2023
Passport Request - September 18, 2023.

I have sent my passport for stamping.

My dilemma is that classes started on September 5, 2023 and there was a deadline to enroll for classes by August 28, 2023. I was unable to enroll as I require a study permit to enroll. I emailed my school (Conestoga College) to defer my admission to January but I got word back today from the school saying that there is no intake for my selected program in January and the next intake is September 2024. September 2024 is too far so I am not entirely sure what to do next.

My thoughts are to proceed with travelling but I am worried that the resumption date will be flagged at the Border on issuing of the study permit.

Has anyone being in this situation before and what was the solution. Alternatively, any advise/insights are welcome.

Thank you!

Hello,

I just received another study visa refusal after two previous refusals. My programme is to start in November, and I think I still have time to reapply. Please can you recommend an excellent immigration lawyer that can help me with my visa application? I want to get it right this time around.

Thank you

You don't need an immigration lawyer. You need to get your application right with the current POF and explain any lump sum well in ur sop.

I did mine myself but I got help from a friend and i can get him who helped me to do yours

Brother if IRCC say your money is not enough, your money is not enough OR there is a lump sum or money movement you are not outlining. Is the money in your account, did it enter from your name, is it in a micro finance account, there is something you are not expalining to the visa officer well OR

the money truly is insufficient.

Thank you for the quick response @otunbadan. Those were my initial thoughts. Please what did you tell the school when you emailed them. Also, did the Border agency ask you questions about your resumption date before issuing your work permit. Are you also at Conestoga College?

Thank you

Applying for a GCMS note is a good starting point. It looks like your letter of explanation was not convincing and didnā€™t clearly explain why you chose the program and how it will benefit you. Reapply and ensure that your letter of explanation is detailed, especially if the following applies to you:
The proposed program is not relevant to your present occupation.
The proposed program appears to be redundant concerning your present qualifications
The proposed program is unrelated to previous education; if you are a recent graduate
You applied from a country of temporary residence, and temporary residence is about to expire
Available funds barely cover your education and living expenses for you and accompanying family members.
Travelling with a large family for a relatively short program when you are not financially buoyant

Ensure that the purpose of the program is well articulated in your SoP.

there is nothing to tell them truly, IRCC has stamped your passport. They MAY ask you for the POF, where are you staying, normal questions. The crowd was plenty that truly the guy that attended to me only asked me what is you name and your admission letter and passport. Reach out to the school if you have paid tuition and tell them you have bought your ticket and you will see them soon. Butt you will have assignments and tests to battle with when u arrive

From my hubbys experience. Connestoga college Bombards you with test assignments presentations and lots of in person classes. Doesnt allow one be able to get extra Cash jobs as compared to other colleges where u will have some free time to go and hustle CASH jobs. Just said to put out there cos most are regretting choosing conesstoga.

Iā€™m so sorry about this. This was the exact thing written on my refusal letter as well but with another reason saying *I did not provide written documents that Iā€™ve been accepted into the designated institution which is not true. I uploaded my LOA alongside my other documents.
Although, I reapplied without asking for a Gcms
note because there was no time to wait due to my resumption date. This time, I paid a part of my school fees. If anyone can expatiate as it is incomprehensible. Could this be an error from the VOā€™s? because saying i didnā€™t provide written documents that Iā€™ve been accepted is crazy. To think I uploaded the official LOA the school sent to me which is U of R plus I paid my tuition deposit as required by the school.

Good morning house. I've been getting series of message from VFS since I submit my passport for stamping. Their messages are confusing, Lols. This is what's on my tracker status: Your Processed passport has been dispatched from the Canada Visa Office to the Canada Visa Application Centre. Your decision envelope will be returned to you via the courier service offered by the VAC. What could be the meaning of this?.Please I need your inputs

Bobomaigida:

Some people are moving to Canada from UK because the process to transition from Student to Permanent resident to Citizen, is straight forward in Canada, in Canada you can give yourself a target and look at all the immigration pathways available to you and start working on it and with smartness and luck you will become a citizen in 7-8 years. In the UK, their immigration policy flip flops too often, which brings changes and uncertainties. The recent example is the new change they are implementing by Jan 24, that will stop most students from bringing in dependents.

In the UK, they can wake up tomorrow and say students who have graduated can only stay for 2 years and leave, like they had before, before Brexit pushed them to relax the rules which they are tightening again.

Hmm I see. Thanks so much for your response.

You are not owing rather it is the school that is owing you. The $63 is what is left after they removed the first semester fees from the amount you paid.

I have over 6yrs knowledge on Crypto and I've lost quite a lot before building a functional strategy that works for me. May not be so easy for you to jump in else u can get burnt. It's better u use like 100k to trade as u learn and I advice you stick to Binance if you decide to go the crypto path. Don't follow useless money doublers or some mumu platforms like mtfe and octa. Trade urself

For computers, people can get solutions for software issues but hardware is main challenge so they will need someone for maintenance. I want to assume u are quite proficient in how the computer works for you to do maintenance. If you have basic background on few computer hardwares, learning to assemble and disassemble a desktop should be a one week thing (as per crash intensive course). Next na laptop and software operations. Get the basics here, go do certificate or diploma there. Best wishes

Good Morning yā€™allšŸ¤© I knew Iā€™d come back here someday to share my testimony!!! God did it!

So my fiancĆ© did his first application on the 9th of June and got denied 14th of Augustā€¦.but while on this thread, we got a lot of ideas and eventually contacted Zubizareta who helped to package the SOP to the teeth.

So we did the second application on the 24th of August and boom! PPR came yesterdayšŸ˜šŸ˜.

Honestly yā€™all have been amazing on this thread and to the king of SOP @Zubizareta we say thank you.

Iā€™ll be back shortly to give the second testimony and to anyone waiting for their PPR, yours is next!šŸ˜‡

We have never used a naira card to make a payment, the last time there was a delay, all payment was made in the middle of the night after the button to continue reflected on the portals. Once payment is made the next thing is your biometrics letter if you paid for it
