essentialone: Even the answers to some of the puzzle we seek is steering at us in this post you've quoted, just that some persons haven't managed to read btw the lines to comprehend matters. Let me help out with a hint; This isn't the 1st time the auditors of the coy is issuing a red flag (OANDO has had WC constrain for sometime), but this is the 1st time the auditors have highlighted the progress made including a would-be solution that can reverse the recent trend and possibly set the company on a trajectory of profitability and sustainable growth. And what's that? Debt restructuring and a follow-up deleveraging! ...which is something the company has already begun. (am sure you read that from the NTS) Everyone knows I also use to have a strong reservation about the company in the past. I remember advising folks to immediately exit their holding at the time the coy was trading for N41+. (was practically screaming at the time) Time and again, I also highlighted these red flags and more. Hear this; the simple explanation to the history of OANDO's problem is that of FUNDING MISMATCH... which led to working capital challenges and increased their debt burden. (ref: galloping EFIR but decelerating CCC/CGPR) For a lack of commensurate earnings drive (NIS was often in the negative), those challenges exacerbated, especially because the banks at the time, refuted the idea of debt restructuring to give their LB a new face lift. Things are starting to change now. This change will most likely "build a new foundation and birth a measurable growth trajectory" for the company. There's a reason the banks are now queuing up to help with the much needed restructuring. Why? Well 1st off, is the thing about top-down approach to value investing. (which I'll advice some persons to go read up) The banks know this and they know "peace". A restructuring implies that a part of current and subsequent earnings can now be utilized for other company-related matters aside interest expense (ref: >> NIS, CGPM, JPBG etc), and in time improved AsQ/AsY. Am not sure some of us understand what's playing out in OANDO at the moment. I'll suggest you dig up some of my previous post on the coy, see the concerns I raised then and compare it to some of the items I mentioned of recent. There are lots I could say but I really don't have that much time. I just hope we don't lament missing out on the opportunity of talking a position in the coy in the course of time. As I stated before; OANDO can get to btw N20-25 before our very eyes. Of course the uptrend will not be a straight one. ...there will be 'bumps' in pricing respecting technicals but with OANDO, prospect is currently looking up. It's a mid-term play! Selah 3 Likes |

Re: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by Seunn11: 11:18am On Sep 20, 2023 |
If Oando really wants to delist...they surely will. However, this business is capital intensive with loans secured with consortium of Banks. Will Oando really want to go private? Will their workers who probably hold few shares in the company be motivated after the delisting? What of the community goodwill? 3 Likes 1 Share |
Re: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by yinka2011: 11:27am On Sep 20, 2023 |
they probably used that de-listing news to mom up all the shares from the market that were sold by panicking holders. Now its probably all held by themselves. its all been done before ---nothing new 4 Likes 1 Share |

Streetinvestor2:From my little understanding, majority shareholders didn't take Oando to court but few minority shareholders.......not even all minority shareholders supported it. I think majority shareholders are not bordered here, and may just be forced to accept the Court's verdict.......either to delist or remain. During the bull period that all stocks were moving and OANDO refused to shake body, I think we were saying it here that, the type of scenario now playing out in the market was what the shareholders should have embarked upon, peradventure it will force the Coy to treat the minority shareholders right and much better. |

That wala guy dey different level for naija ceos Time will tell.I pray he is not bent on delisting to hammer alone with his fellow big boys.Crude price from projections will remain high throughout 2024 and insecurity in the delta will improve too.Gas is already sky rocketing On another note,we dey forget say wale na lawyer who knows that the court process is the way to initiate this things .why this 14 minority shareholders Does it mean they did not present a bargain price for thr investment .And oando decided to pronounce this ridiculous offer before releasing improved results |

Streetinvestor2: If they (The Fat OandO cats) conceived it as you say what is their benefit?. [I see lower short sighted benefits for them] Why are they releasing good announcements instead of bad ones that will facilitate their quick buyout of all common stock holders?. Why did they list in exchanges outside Nigeria ? [I think they did that out of a vision of making Oando a big concern] Who are those that have been selling Oando below N7 ? [Most likely aggrieved shareholders fed up with the current management !!!] From Jan-23 to Aug-23 12% of outstanding Oando Shares were sold at an average price of N5.27. In the first three weeks of this September, 8% of Oando Shares have been sold so far at an average price of N8.24 I think it is in the best interest of OandO major share holders to keep Oando on the local and international stock exchanges to compete with the likes of Seplat and even with the likes of the major International oil companies that they have bought their assets. This is not a buy or sell recommendation. But my contribution. 4 Likes |

Chai. This Oando at this moment has only bids and no offers. Those who bought this year before the month of September are lucky. Either way they win. If Oando remains on the exchange their win will be extraordinary. Looks like the bus is not stopping to pick passengers. People are fighting to enter the moving the bus. Chai. And the bus was parked for a long time. With the doors wide open with empty seats. 3 Likes |

Yoast:Having direct access to the market (i.e. using a digital stock broker) helps a lot about this bravery you are talking about. It helps you see where exactly you are going and also help you determine, with a fair level of accuracy, when you should exit.
