raumdeuter:Sorry to chip in but I disagree. I don't think Musiala's dip in form has much to do with his position as an AM. I think it's perfectly normal for a player his age. He was our best player in the first half of last season but his form dipped after the World Cup, probably due to fatigue. Let's not forget last year was his first season as a starter. Unlike Bellingham who has been playing regularly since he was 17. Musiala is actually more rounded than you think. He presses well and can hold his own in midfield duels. Don't let his languid frame deceive you. That Flick, Nagelsmann and Tuchel have all tried him out as an 8, even with other CMs available speaks volumes. He is also getting better at creating chances. We both know he can shoot with both feet and score goals, even if his finishing needs a bit of polishing. Bellingham is the better player, no doubt but he has had more experience and game-time than Musiala. I'm definitely not worked up about the comparisons. No be race. Musiala will get to where he has to be in his time. 1 Like |

This has to be it for Hansi Flick. Worst German side I have ever seen. Even worse than Euro 2000 Germany Thank you once again Boateng for the world cup win in 2014. I dnt know when Germany will be strong enough to win a world cup again 2 Likes |

The kain curse wey dey worry German football no be small. They just can't catch a break. MNT, flop. WNT, flop. U21, flop. Even Bayern sef dey wobble. Time for another reboot? Flick is as good as gone. Unless he manages to do the impossible by thrashing France, na bye-bye. Everything is already pointing to another humiliating defeat on Tuesday. The new coach, whoever that is, has tough decisions to make leading up to the Euros. I'm in favor of tearing everything up, and starting afresh. Things can't get any worse for Germany right now. Whatever happens between now and next summer, Ter Stegen should remain number 1. If Neuer can't accept a place on the bench, he should retire. Same thing for Muller, his golden years in the NT was as a goalscorer, something he has clearly lost touch with. Throw up that CAM position between Musiala and Wirtz. Let the better talent start. I don't know why Flick made Gundogan the team captain for the Euros. This is someone who has never turned up in the colors of Germany. Bench him and start Can alongside JK to provide steel and balance. As an unwritten rule, Sane and Gnabry should NEVER start together for Germany. Whoever is in better form should start, and at worst bench the two of them. Yes! Talent is clearly not enough for this team. Give those who are willing to fight for the white jersey a chance. Throw the doors open. I would like to see guys like Thiaw, Gross, Hoffmann etc get a run in the team. The stars wey dem dey pack no kuku do anything. Enough of this sterile possession game, go back to your roots. Direct, attacking football. Lastly, Havertz should never start a game for Germany again. Fullkrug is 3x better than that fraud. 2 Likes |

In other news, the German Male National Basketball team just won the FIBA World Cup. At least, there is still something for them to celebrate amidst all of this gloom. DeadPresidents, care to give us an update on what the mood is like in Berlin? |
Re: Offical Bayern Munich Fan Thread: 6x Champions Of Europe by DeadPresidents: 5:25pm On Sep 10, 2023 |
pkasso: The U-Bahn and S-Bahn trains have their update screens relaying the news a million times with Dennis Schroeder on the cover. The Germans i know and interact with don’t really care about basketball like that. The descent of their footballing prowess hurts them even more and I’d say they deserve it because the pompous cünts need to be knocked down back to earth |

DeadPresidents:Hahahaha. This one na freshly-squeezed Schadenfreude. The Euros next year is a really big deal for them, from what I've read. BTW, i'm curious as to your level of fluency in the language, which I hear is notoriously difficult |
Re: Offical Bayern Munich Fan Thread: 6x Champions Of Europe by DeadPresidents: 6:10pm On Sep 10, 2023 |
pkasso: The language is a bitchh to learn. Every word has a gender so some words are “female” whilst others are “male” and a few are neuter. I am currently graded A1.1 in German proficiency which means i can understand and speak basic German. The goal is to attain C3 level German which will unlock understanding of the much deeper German. I met up with a friend yesterday at a club in Charlottenburg and I learned he did 3 hours practice at the Hochschule for 2 years to qualify for his German medical license as he’s a Sudanese national |

pkasso: Great read Ogah Pkasso. But shouldn't the great Goretzka be the one to pair with JK? Does this mean that Goretzka is so average that you'll advocate Emre Can, another very average player to pair with Kimmich? |
Re: Offical Bayern Munich Fan Thread: 6x Champions Of Europe by pkasso(m): 2:10pm On Sep 12, 2023 |
oliverano:How you manage take tie this Goretzka matter for my neck like say I be im biggest fan, I no understand oh Can is a defensive specialist, a real 6 which Germany lacks at the moment. Goretzka plays best in a midfield 3 or when he is allowed tactical freedom to roam which is unlikely to happen for the national team. Goretzka average? You might want to look up the meaning of that word in a dictionary. |

Sandro Wagner is in the coaching crew. He was with Neuer in the U21 squad in 2009 |

At least this performance was better than vs Japan. These set of players their strenght is on pace and transitions. So it favours them when they have an opponent that will pressure them so they can counter |

Re: Offical Bayern Munich Fan Thread: 6x Champions Of Europe by pkasso(m): 10:09pm On Sep 16, 2023 |
For how long is Tuchel going to keep benching our best CB in de Ligt? E don dey pass play play. I know he wasn't at 100% at the start of the season, but those excuses don't count any more. I can understand Kim getting more game time so as to bed him in quickly, but there is no way Upamecano should be starting over de Ligt. See as Boniface run am ragged yesterday. Everyone knows Upa struggles vs strong and pacy strikers especially on transitions but the fool called Tuchel put him up against Boniface. Another worrying trend is the fact that we are not creating enough quality chances for Kane. That one sef no dey help matters worse by dropping so deep. For God's sake, you are a striker, hover around the final third and wait for supply. Tuchel should flog that habit out of him, if need be. If too say na for tight game, vs the likes of City and Madrid, I for understand. Not in the Bundesliga wey space dey. Davies also needs to find a balance between attacking and defending. It's been a recurring theme these last few seasons but it has somehow managed to fly under the radar. I remember Tuchel shackling him in his first few games in charge, noticeably against Dortmund last season but that ended up being temporary. If we are to succeed with this 4231 with no real defensive midfielder, Tuchel needs to rein him in again. I initially thought playing Coman at LW with Davies as LB was an overkill, but i'm starting to think it might be a blessing in disguise. Coman is good at beating 1v2s so he doesn't need Davies as an option high up the pitch, meaning Davies can adopt a more conservative approach, choosing his moments to bomb forward and attack. In short, being more Alaba than Marcelo. |

pkasso: l watched the highlight of their friendly match against Japan. Mehn.,those Japanese forwards really opposed the weakness of the German team. The match ended 1 - 4 in favour of Japan but the German team have a good goal keeper if not omo they would have conceeded more than 4 goals. |

AdisaOwala:Kim has only just joined. Moreover, I still don't think he's better than de Ligt. He's better than Upamecano sha. |

andrewbaba44:No opponent will be losing any sleep over this team, walahi. This is probably the weakest Bayern side in a decade, up there with the one under Kovac. Tuchel has serious work to do. That defense na something else. We've only kept one clean sheet this season and none in our last 4 games. Imagine conceding 3 goals to Wack Man Utd. Una fit finally beat us, if we jam again. |
