Absence of catalytic converter does NOT equate to fuel consumption. Rather, it even improves it slightly. However, I am strongly against catalytic converter theft.

P0455 is an evap code which shows up on your scan tool when the ECM detects a large leak of evap. In most cases, this leakage is accompanied with smell of fuel and bad fuel economy.

Just a short krrr sound.. When parked for a while and in d morning.. Happens just once... For the jerking noticed two of the coil is bad..

The 'krrrr' sound is most likely your VVT-i sprockets or timing chain being slacked. Have it checked and if it's the vvt-i sprockets are the culprit, replace them with a good working unit. Do NOT WELD THEM.

Before you repair did you scan?
What do you mean by excess fuel consumption?- have you calculated fuel consumed by distance covered?

My DC 2007 leaks transmission fluid when I'm driving . Mechanic says it is leaking at the top of the transmission just under the battery, that he will use 1000 naira gum to stop the leakage. Please I need advice as I don't know if ordinary 1000 naira gum can solve this problem. Does anyone have similar experience or know about how this leakage be permanently solved or will the gum work as suggested by my mechanic. It only leaks out when engine is hot, when parked to cool, the fluid doesn't leak out

Hello everyone ,I have a Peugeot 206 1.4i 75HP (TU3JP) manual gear box.

While driving today, I could not engage any gear, had to get some boys to help Me push the car in neutral. Just before this happened, I noticed two things:

1. Idle rpm was slightly high, about 1200
2. The clutch pedal got stuck to the floor, had to use my leg to lift it back up, this has happened a few times in the past. What could be the possible reasons for gears failing to engage?

If it's a bad seal, replace the seal.
If it's a broken or cracked housing, get a good turner to weld the crack or replace part.

It's up to your mechanic to decide which is better

Your car does NOT use traditional automatic, so it should not be selecting rather, it uses a belt to drive on a conical cylinder. The shift feel is simulated.


That said, check your gear socket harness if it's broken or has been chewed by rats, or rusted, check pins in the gear if it's broken or rusted and if none, replace the transmission speed sensor. If you do and e no work, plan for a replacement of transmission.
