Not architectural design. I can remember contacting the person behind the handle sometimes in Jan/Feb last year for a BOQ. The initial estimate he submitted looked senseless to me(and I mean it). I had to tell him to do it again and it didn’t still make sense. Qsfemi gave me a rough estimate for some of the jobs FREE of charge and that made a lot of sense(The tiling job and the pop, which Bolu1986 did). I’ll say qsfemi’s estimate was 95% accurate. I so much love black tiles as a designer n I don't run from it. Lots of clients will not go with black for their personal reasons n that ranges from client to client.

Though black tiles requires lots of maintainance especially if it's of low quality as it easily reveals scratches n dirt's(dusts n d likes) on it which makes it less attractive over time,
it also requires constant cleaning(mopping/polishing) to bring the spark in it out continuously which will wear of its glory if it's a low quality type n also time to maintain it
Some will say it makes it difficult to sight/spot small reptile on it compare to other colors.

Bright colors suit spaces much more than black color n there is restriction to spaces you can actually use black color for, it's a mood on its own.
Black color is selective of colors that easily combines with it. I love to use black in private spaces.

GBAM, u have said it all n given the solutions as well.
just that scratchs are unavoidable most especially when you have underaged kids.
Most clients do appreciate the aura black gives in photos n videos but will never risk trying it out on their personal project except the ones that has traveled vastly n seen the beauty of it in real projects n even at that, they will limit it to their bedroom/bathrooms.
