MrPRevailer: Actually it was emperor Constantine after his conversion to Christianity Turned Rome from pagan to Christianity And founded the Catholic Church The Catholic Church was already established 600 years before the coming of prophet Muhammad The Catholic Church held sway for over 1500 years before the advent of Martin Luther, the creating of the church of England, then Methodist Church Then the migration of pilgrims to the New world America when they were fleeing from persecution from the king's of Europe The pilgrims founded America on foundation of Liberty, and freedom for every Man The Americans fought war with the British and gained Independence Setting up the powerful US Constitution built on Liberty The Europeans then began to go around discovering other parts of the world aided by industrial revolution they built the steam engine that enabled ships travel thousands of miles to other continents especially championed by the Portuguese and the British The Portuguese were the first to discover Africa while the British discovered Australia, New Zealand. The Europeans started coming to Africa and the transatlantic slave trade started for over 150 years Africans were sold into slavery to the New world, America, Caribbeans Then the British abolished slave trade and started Trading on raw materials like palm oil etc With time they formed trading posts in Africa example is the Royal Niger company that First came as traders but later colonised Africa by Force after Africa was shared amongst the Europeans in late 18th century That's when Nigeria was formed and various African tribes were organized into Nations This has been the bane of Africa as a continent And the reality is that Africa may never Develop like other parts of the world Because the Europeans that gave us form and being are the ones still in control of our world We Africans are no match for them in Development and advancement 20 Likes 6 Shares |

[quote author=EmperorCaesar post=125972594]Julius read about Alexander and wondered why he could achieve so much when he died at 32 Julius desperately wanted to be immortalized and was just trying out anything possible It ended well for him as the month "JULY" was named after him August was named after "Augustus" to indicate that he came after Julius Abeg, September nko |

You haven't understood why you are not so intelligent, so how can you understand or believe things written about Jesus? They will only remain myth to you. That's assuming you are sincere in your lack of understanding. Hallucination with false belief that you are a genius when you are not it's real. 2 Likes |

In the aftermath of the assassination, Rome was plunged into civil war. Instead of being regarded as heroes, as they had hoped and expected, the “Liberators” were vilified, particularly by the Roman lower classes, with whom Caesar had been very popular. Within two years, nearly all of them were exiled or dead. And perhaps ironically, after Caesar’s chosen heir Octavian emerged victorious in the civil wars, he was given the title “Augustus,” and he became the first Roman Emperor. Most times the people you fight for will fight against you. 7 Likes |

Wisereborn:Very wrong analogy, the Emperor was loved by the people, particularly the lower class, he was hated by the upper class, and it was actually because of his increasing popularity among the lower class. It is a direct opposit of the Nigeria story 2 Likes |

Augutus Ceasar time was very interesting. He was the reigning Caesar When Jesus was born. He never lived long enough to see Jesus'ministry. That was Tiberius era, his step-son. 3 Likes 1 Share |

You made me research on the Roman Senator and historian named Publius Aticus and such like names as Flavius Josephus, Julius Ceaser, Augustus Ceaser who was the Roman Emperor when JESUS was born. To me, History is the best thing after Science. 9 Likes |

Spartacus was killed 60 years before Christ birth. Imagine if those people knew the messiah was coming very soon possibly in their lifetime. They would do everything to not die. 5 Likes |

djon78: Honestly I have no inkling too, but in my own opinion I would say.... it could be distance barrier? Probably lack of direct trade route to Rome, Egypt, Syria, Jerusalem and the Arabia that caused such primitive and backward living in Africa during the period, cos counties withing proximity to the above mentioned nations seemed to adapt and develope much faster having been earlier exposed to various religions and forms of organised gorvernment through trade relationships. 2 Likes |
