Guys, I'm already getting tired of suspension issues with my Elantra 2014. Although I live in a bad terrain in Ogun state but the issues are still too much. The lastest is after replacing all 4 shock absorbers and faulty hub bearing the vehicle seems to bounce and creak when climbing portholes or rough roads.

Is there any reliable Hyundai mechanic around Ikeja axis or Berger?

Suspension work is not moi moi, it is an expensive and time consuming fix, anytime you want to change shocks, you should always ensure to utilize brandnew not tokunbo the you also change
1. All bushings in the suspension for both sides, lower arm, camber etc

2. Change all linkages to brandnew

3. Check the springs

4. Check the sway bars

5. Rubber of the shafts and unsure to check the bearings and grease the shaft if still good.

6. Go for alignment

Thanks bro. Problem is I really need a good Hyundai mechanic. Most of them around are specialised in Toyota and Honda repair.

ATF SPIII is the fluid whether the transmission is 4peed or 5speed. Don't use dextron nonsense if you don't want to spend 450k to replace transmission

The brand name is ATF SP 3 you should get it in retail outlets like ladipo, trade fair ojo, etc. Or find a dealer online like jumia or konga

My Hyundai Sonata 2015 sport 2.0T suddenly goes off and when I start it, I began hearing a knocking sound. My mechanic confirmed it's a knocking sound.

He says my two options are either to get a crank shaft with metal and bearing

Or get a new engine.

The former is cheaper but will it be a sustainable fix if done well?

Hello House,

Thanks to everyone for the knowledge. Especially for new car owners like myself.

Please I would like to get some candid advice.

Can I use only coolant without mixing it with water for my radiator.

I use a 2008 Tucson.

Thank you

Hello guys, I'm about getting an SUV and the 2018 Hyundai Santa Fe Sport and the 2018 Hyundai Tucson Limited caught my eyes. I honestly love how those cars look on the road each time I see them and of course, I like their interior designs and features too. But I'm not very familiar with Hyundai cars so I'll like to know how reliable and durable those cars are. I don't care much for the resale value, I just want a nice looking but solid and dependable car with nice features that can last me a while. How well can they hold up in our Nigerian roads? How's the cost of maintenance? Are their parts readily available in the open market?

I initially was looking at either the 2015 Toyota Highlander XLE or 2015 Lexus RX 350 F Sport but they're a lot more expensive than both the Santa Fe and the Tucson and even less packed in terms of features.

Please, I'll need experts and users of these cars or brand to help me make up my mind.

Highly debatable!
Especially when you're considering the Lexus (even though it's 8years older.

Whichever you go for, avoid the turbo engine variants.

They're more easier than those turbo, but all of them carry the same mama and Papa come.

Hello, somebody please help.

I am considering a 2016 Hyundai Tucson .
I think the size and interior is perfect.

However I have some concerns , as I saw some reviews on its double clutch transmission having delays (or something like that )sometimes.

I would like to find out if it’s really a common problem. I would also like to know if there is a fix . I would also like a general review on the model.

And if review is negative , please help with perhaps better recommendations?
I considered the 2015 Santa Fe, but i think it’s much too big in size for me. The 2014 rav4 came up but it’s pricier and bland on the interior side. The 2015 Nissan qashquai came up, but people said Nissan was not good enough . Please help.

For context , I am a 5’4 lady , living in Lagos island and currently drive a 2013 corrolla sport.
Thank you .

buy the Hyundai Santa fe. There are 2 types, the small 5 seater and the long wheel base 7 seater. Since you want something smaller, get the short wheel base 5 seater. Very wonderful ride. Get the limited version if you can.

Good day everyone, Thanks for the whole tread, reviews and solutions provided.

Please I need help with reviews on Hyundai Santa Fe 2007 -2009 model. Is it advisable to get it as a first time car user and also what are the things I need to check out during inspection.
Your responses would be much appreciated. Thanks.🙏
