Ghanaians are protesting over economic crises/ hardship.

Ghana inflation rate is over 30 percent.

* They gave the current govt enough time

* There are no mobs and lazy youths in Ghana planning to burn down "their Lagos"

* There are no touts, criminals, arsonists in Ghana who will hijack protests...

*Ghanians influencers and celebs are not cloutchasers grin

I have a driver that runs from Iyanaipaja to Warri.

Since September, this guy has not come to Lagos. No passenger. He told me he just picks along the road from Warri to PH

At least, to bring something home for Madam and the baby.

I no know how people dey survive sometimes.

Remember when living from hand to mouth used to be a problem. These days if you can even live from hand to mouth, you are doing well.

Hmmmmmm. Ghana don reach default level. Her debt to GDP ratio is over 70/80 percent. Some have reached maturity already and they can't pay.

Recently, IMF gave them bailout funds.

Most times I tell people that I don't have any immediate plan to put serious money in Business in Nigeria because of the so many uncertainty in the Nigerian Business environment.

Imagine buying a new bus for transport business on May 27th 2023 and on May 29th 2023 Tinubu just casually says " Subsidy is gone" !

Since that day transport business has not been the same anymore.

Dude should be looking @ investment in Africa.

Our economic environment makes it extremely difficult for any start-up to genuinely take off.
Lack of power generation is truly a real hindrance to any business. Especially the tech startups.

The search didn't bring up any useful result, can you point to what you were trying to say?

That's the point. Roland knows when to joke and when to comot mouth if a matter is serious. Make of that what you will. To be human doesn't cost a thing.

I ran out of money on a project I'm working on in Nigeria cos construction costs alone almost quadrupled since 2020, and this is despite using in-house labour, and leveraging long-time relationships with suppliers.

I didn't think I was ever going to recoup my investment as it was really planned to be a passive income stream/active pension for my parents, but holy shït I was getting räped on costs.

I approached a couple of banks for a loan facility, and they were all insisting on 18-25% interest on a 36 month tenure for substantial amounts of money. Like bro, we never even trade first, you wan hook us with ridiculous billings

I've left the project for now. If things pick up then I might reconsider, but Nigerian investment scene is a jungle.

Imagine having land for decades, within a few months of construction work beginning, someone from LASG comes to spray on the fence in red paint that it's against some stupid rules from thr fashola era. That shît alone took a lot of money to even try and speak to the person that would tell us how much to pay in fees and who else to grease.

It's ridiculous

Lols. You know the manner of dressing of each people in a region evolved from the need to adapt to their immediate environment.

This implies the natural environment of a people plays a primary role in the evolution of their dressing and fashion culture.

But our African Muslim brothers and sisters no go gree. They must look like the Arabs or the whites (for the Christians), their slavemasters, sha cheesy

Adopt their god, eat, sleep and wake up like they do, and do almost everything like the Arabs or whites. They can't develop novel ways of doing things unique to their own natural environment.

Na copy copy cheesy

Anything African is secondary to those foreign peoples. Anyway, it all boils down to the notable differentials in the average intelligence level of these peoples.

Some of us that started bashing him recently are doing so because we observed it's difficult to have a decent conversation with Teejay without him turning round to hurl insult at u. He just seem to be incapable of having a civil discussion without calling u names once u don't buy the otem nonsense gospel.

I personally usually let his unprovoked insults slide for a long time until I didn't.

If he wants others to be humans then he must also try to be human and understand people can have divergent views on the same subject matter.....Insulting the person discussing with u does not in any way portray u as more knowledgeable

Bro, my dad used to run some piggery and catfish operation way back in the day.

One fool from ara adugbo would fly fence into my dad's farm under cover of darkness with a whole net to steal fish. Like this mofo wasn't just reaping where he didn't sow, he was running industrial operations like a CEO on another man's property

My dad got frustrated that the expect yield was not yielding, but didn't want to chalk it up to bigger fish eating smaller fish, so he camped out one night in the farm with his gun and two of his boys, and that's when they caught this bastard. He was lucky to escape with just beating. The local vigilantes begged my dad to hand him over to them to be treated properly

Farming in Nigeria from what I understand is a joke as well. Nigerians seem to feel entitled to your stuff, from herdsmen coming to graze their cows on your crops and kill you if you talk about it, to your workers stealing your produce, to kidnappers waiting for you on the roads

Mehn I don't actually understand how that country is able to feed itself tbh.
