Because one is not enough. And that's how business works. Have you asked yourself why there isn't only one bank? After all all banks do the same thing abi? Or why isn't there only one petrol station? Shebi it's just to sell the same petrol and diesel and engine oil?

Fintechs do waaaaay more than save money shebi you know? Many of them finance large projects either individually or as part of a larger group.

First line of typed code was in 1993 when owning a computer was a very big deal. Went in purely for passion. Not saying it's necessarily the same now but yeah loads of people got in for passion

In 1993, the whole technology was still very young. In fact the internet growth started in the late 90's and no one would envisage it to be this profound today. The creators then were passion driven but today it's more money driven. What would it profit you to go through the pain of building stuffs without any rewards? And people will just use your invention freely with no remuneration. C'mon
