Your emphasis on "public apology" is funny. So apologising to his teammates and coach almost immediately wouldn't suffice, he has to grovel in public to satisfy your angst? You conveniently try to skip the fact that his reaction isn't peculiar and many other player (including his own team mate last week) have done this and will still do.
