Why Always Nigeria by Ugwueke11(m): 6:16pm On Sep 08, 2023 |
Hi everyone, i hope u all are doing fine. We all know that AI is trending and Americans and other notable countries are doing wonders with this AI, But here in nigeria our youth are only posting nonsens photos on facebook why? i mean 30% of my fb friends are uploading this their nonsens trending AI Photo, the white people are creating many stuff with this thing and all we could think of is posting photos here and there claiming to be beautiful. i also wondered why ths white people are nt changing their profile pictures but only we black, even if they do their number won't match our own, i even called 1 guy like that & asked hm whats AI he said that its for photo shoping, like i dint evn talk to hm, my question is why hv we refuse to be creative 3 Likes |

It begins with you, have you tried to teach them or give them a guidance. People aren't that dumb. If you teach them, they'll learn 8 Likes |

Ugwueke11: Real i noticed them too on Facebook some even charge money to do the ai stuff... Pathetic But the truth is that most of us in Nigeria dont have the technical know-how and resources to build an AI application. I'm a programmer and AI lover so i built a chatbot similar to chatGPT trained on Nigerian data but I'm sceptical in showing people since all they can do with AI is that annoying photo stuff and no one will use the chatbot... lipsrsealed 1 Like |

Kobranet:I wanted to do this but I'm not good in data science and management. Pls which Python modules did you use? Sorry for the questions |
Re: Why Always Nigeria by Kobranet: 8:10am On Sep 14, 2023 |
BenedictAbajue: spaCy: For text processing and entity recognition like Nouns,Verbs e.t.c.NLTK: for NLP tasks. Transformers : i used pre-trained models ., which i fine-tuned for the chatbot. Also deep Learning Frameworks like PyTorch and TensorFlow: These frameworks are essential for training and deploying deep learning models. Chatbot Frameworks...Rasa: Rasa is popular open-source chatbot development framework that allowed me to build the conversational flow. And SQL was used for the database U need to find someone good in data management because it's essential. Are u interested in building yours??Share ur idea |

Kobranet: I wanted to but I went thru the hard way and lost hope. I did not know that there's a module for natural language processing so I was gathering all english words and grouping them. I know of pytorch and tensorflow when I did machine learning. Pls do you have github for this project? 1 Like |

Re: Why Always Nigeria by BenedictAbajue(m): 4:36pm On Sep 22, 2023 |
Kobranet: I just upgraded my python to 3.11.5 Now I have to start pip installing all the modules I have installed tensorflow, nltk, pytorch successfully. But my spacy, tensorflow and rasa are having dependency issues and I have to set up a virtual environment which I have always avoided cos I don't really understand venv I can import all the modules successfully without errors except spacy and rasa. Spacy installed but cannot be imported while rasa did not install at all Did you use selenium and beautifulsoup for extracting data for training models ? |
Re: Why Always Nigeria by Kobranet: 12:42pm On Sep 28, 2023 |
BenedictAbajue: Use conda to downgrade ur version below 3.11 because rasa does not work on 3.11 Yes i used beautifulsoup. |
Re: Why Always Nigeria by BenedictAbajue(m): 7:14am On Sep 29, 2023 |
Kobranet: What version did you use so I know what I'm downgrading to exactly? mehhhn! Rasa must be pretty old Pls what IDE did you use ? VSCode, Spyder or the one that comes with Python |
