Professionals in the house pls what is the difference between "hybrid inverter" and "transformer hybrid inverter".

Re: Solar Energy, A Complement To FTA by RipVanWink: 6:07pm On Sep 28, 2023 |
adewasco2k: yes, u can if its just for those 2 items for a 24v setup |
Re: Solar Energy, A Complement To FTA by RipVanWink: 6:17pm On Sep 28, 2023 |
swagifted: normal hybrid inverter doesnt contain large heavy transformer...so they are usually very light in weight, 5kw 48v hybrid is about 12kg, while normal non hybrid is over 35kg, transformer hybrid has toroidal transformer insde, which is somewhat smaller and lighter than the normal transformer in non hybrid inverters...so such may be weighing a lil below 25kg. transformer based inverters are better at survirving issues, spikes, surges etc...than non transformer based 2 Likes |

I studied and used both for clients at different times and they perform very good with decent energy harvest. Either one works well, choose which your budget covers. We can also get them for you from our authorized dealers icjunior: |

Re: Solar Energy, A Complement To FTA by Kreamie(m): 6:01am On Sep 29, 2023 |
Lol. This isn’t entirely correct sha These hybrids are pretty heavy. A lot of strength is required in hefting them. Maybe you dey lift weight sha; but for we wey we never chop wella let alone own a gym subscription. These things can break your back. RipVanWink: |

NiyiOmoIyunade: You are still saying the same thing I'm saying but with plenty English. You can't do continuous 5kw. Hence pf is not 1. There are conditions to it. People need to know so they don't go with the mindset of doing 5kw on 5kw. Hope u get 1 Like |

Kreamie: what exactly are you saying?? science works with data, not vague talk or feelings. why not back up ur claims with hard data such as weight in kg/lbs? of specific inverters 2 Likes |

zeestone99: There was some wisdom in the plenty english nah. No inverter subjected to temperature can do PF 1. Just because the chinese no name brands don't put in their inverters doesn't mean that they don't derate. As the temperature rises in the inverters operating environment and under load, it will derate its output. There is always a loss in the energy conversion of DC to AC. The law of physics is universal. It happens to all inverters. But Victron is being more open by telling you exactly how and at what temperatures it is able to output its capacity. The issue i guess was you making Victron to look like the only inverter that derates its ouput instead of aspiring it as a normal convention that applies to all inverters and not just victron. 3 Likes |

samir101ng: Like I said we are all saying thing. I never made victron look like the only inverter that can't do PF of 1. Infact all them can't do PF of 1, I was jst saying on behalf of local consumers. I know the kind of people I deal with locally. I kid you not they will buy it for this sole purpose and load steady 4.95kw, they will also come here to complain blablabla. 1 Like |

litaninja: Although I said earlier: "It is a choice between chasing 10,000 clients paying 10,000.00 each on the one side OR say 10 clients paying 10,000,000.00" It could also be 2 clients paying 50,000,000.00 or 1 client paying 100,000,000.00 Now imagine that 1 of the 2 clients paying 50,000,000.00 decides to drop you when you did nothing wrong. Say the CEO is retiring and decides that he needs to go home with your contract pay as his retirement package, so he substitutes your company with his junior brother's company. You had no prior knowledge of this coming. What happens to your projections? What happens to everyone else who suffers from this executive action? Your staff? Your family life? Your love/romantic live? Can you handle the emotional toll that comes from things going this way? If this happens in say September you have barely enough time to find an alternative or alternatives as mega corporate deals are rarely completed in 3 months, a 6 month to 9 month or even 12 month timeframe might be more realistic. You know that unlike what happens on nairaland, you cannot call him out because if you do, no other person from that company will deal with you again. And if care is not taken, no other person from that industry as a whole will deal with you because you a snitch. You also know that you cannot take it to court, because then you will put the whole world on notice that you are a fighter which might negatively affect the attraction of future business. In addition, to the above, there is the stress of always learning, to stay ahead of the curve so you don't become a Nokia and continue to be relevant to your clients both current and future. It could also be the other way around. You are the favored contractor getting all the juiciest of deals, and when there is a change of the guard, your patronage drops to zero in an instant. You are then relegated from most favored status to persona non grata. Just a glimpse of stories from the trenches. Can you really handle the heat? 6 Likes 1 Share |
