Can A Nigerian Sitting President Be Arrested In The Us For Identity Theft? by Newdawn30: 8:47am On Sep 30, 2023 |
Good morning all. There isn't anyone in Africa not to talk of Nigeria, that doesn't know the embarrassing situation the Nigeria president PBat is currently going through, With his academic records and they alleged case of forgery and narcotics. Here's my question : can the united state arrest a sitting president? If yes pls can you explain to us under what conditions does his immunity stop working. Cos I have come to realised that immunity has it limits and isn't absolute in a foreign land. |

Newdawn30:Embarrassment is actually what goes on in your head. For some people, it's embarrassing to live in the kind of house u are living now. For others, it's an embarrassment to them to use the kind of phone and PC u are using. Embarrassment is what goes on in your head. There's no embarrassment anywhere apart what goes on in your head. To some of us, it is embarrassing for a presidential candidate to be detained in an airport. 4 Likes |

So from your write up, what's happening to tinubu in far away united states courts, is not embarrassing to you. And to other people that find it offensive that the number 1 citizen of a country is involved in forgery is only in their head. Do you know that this case is an international one at this point? Do you know the damage it will cause Nigerians as a whole, we already have a negative perception. It is doing us more harm as a people, it not just tinubu it will affect, it will rub off on everyone. Wow Nigeria is finished, see what the leaders of tomorrow Nigeria is staying. Let's call out evil for what it is . JagabanB: 1 Like |

A country can arrest another country's setting president especially when there exist an arrest warrant by a body of such capacity. But that is an invitation to conflict between both countries. The recent pronouncement by the icc on [Putting's] arrest upon arrival in another country can attest to it's possibility 2 Likes |

In answer to your question, this is what might likely happen if the following questions is answered: 1. Is the president or diplomat legit, as in, are they in their real identity? 2. Is the president or diplomat not legit, as in, are they not in their real identity? 3. Did they commit two or more different crimes under different names? 4. Where they once resident in that country? Let's tackle 2, 3, 4 together, assuming yes to them all. If they are not in their real identity, assuming they once commit different crimes and documented under different names, then there's legitimate grounds to get him arrested for identity theft. If for diplomatic sake, they can be asked to leave without notice, akin to when you ask a Diplomat to leave within 48 hours, that's if they are legit. But if they are not, or been documented to have committed a crime under different names, then forceful evacuation applies to them! There's a reason Diplomats submit their letters of credence to the leader's of the other countries, or why leaders hold bilateral submit once they are sworn in. This is to establish the new person is not a fraud. Newdawn30: 1 Like |

Nice point, I don't think a country can single handedly do that. Put a president can be arrested under international laws. So in this instance it means icc is the only one that can give such other. YouandiAllofus: |

You choose to behave like the ostrige, they are two set csu certificate online for even the blind to see with contrary dates of graduation, signatures of people that were not even employees of csu at the time that tinubu graduated. Even csu student paper columnist at the time, an American, has categorically said the certificate tinubu submitted to inec is fake. Newdawn30:As usual, anybody can decide to latch on desperation and f00I u. The so called columnist saw ur desperation and decided to become popular from it, he saw a group of mob and decides to use them to his advantage. CSU told u he is their student, but a student columnist says he is not their student, somehow, the columnist is right and the school authority is wrong. Tell me again if u are different from whatever u described up there. Obidents have altered so many pictures and doctored so many videos. Bring official proof that Tinubu did not attend CSU. How can u confirm those people were not employees of CSU as the time? U confirmed it same way u confirmed Buhari is a clone from Sudan? Or u confirmed it same u confirmed that Tinubu can't make any coherent speech months ago? |
