Hello Everyone. So I decided to start my canadain immigration journey this year. After much research, I wrote CELPIP. Got 11 in listening, reading and speaking and 10 in writing. I have my WES evaluated for M.sc. I am in the pool CSR score is 430. I want to apply for PNP. Eligibility for Manitoba is 70 but no connection. Abeg I need advice or help. What is the way forward. And you see TEF; the only thing I know in French is bon jour. I don't want to go that route abeg. 1 Like |

Landed a professional job in Calgary, Alberta Canada with an SOWP - NOC 1. Does anyone know how easy it is to get PNP in Alberta with his job offer/experience, before my spouse completes her 2-years program, and which stream? |

That’s probably why… the tie-breaking rule was june 12… meaning that they selected people with the score that entered the pool on or before that date. I may be wrong but that’s what I think sha mollode:

Luchiee: That's not the meaning of tie-breaking please. Tie-breaking will come to play when two people with the same CRS score are in the pool, in which case, the first person who entered the pool will be selected. Cheers! 2 Likes |

Anyone know how I can contact Accra to expedite a passport stamping process? Principal needs to land before their medicals expires. |
Re: Canadian Express Entry/Federal Skilled Worker Program - Connect Here Part 11 by Profgordons(m): 8:26pm On Sep 30, 2023 |
vickyehi:In the grand scheme of things, this is barely important. Worse case is to do another medical before traveling, it doesn’t invalidate the PR visa. |

nnamdi346:You can’t qualify for work experience points until your spouse has completed studies, they want their full money for the school fees. |
Re: Canadian Express Entry/Federal Skilled Worker Program - Connect Here Part 11 by vickyehi: 8:34pm On Sep 30, 2023 |
Profgordons: Thanks. Ticket was already purchased as proof to ircc that PA can land before the medical expiration date. Does anyone know if PA can go and collect the passport in person? |
Re: Canadian Express Entry/Federal Skilled Worker Program - Connect Here Part 11 by Profgordons(m): 9:20pm On Sep 30, 2023 |
vickyehi:I think PA was misinformed in all of these, there is no such requirement as buying a ticket. It would not influence the issuance of the visa. All you and PA can do now is to patiently wait. 1 Like |

Good morning, everyone.....Happy new month/Independence/ Sunday!!!! Should the reference letters from past and current employers need to be addressed to IRCC as recepient? |
Re: Canadian Express Entry/Federal Skilled Worker Program - Connect Here Part 11 by Profgordons(m): 9:17am On Oct 01, 2023 |
OTOIDEEHI:Yes if you are providing one. If you are unable to provide one, a previous reference will work with appropriate explanations and the reference should reflect IRCC’s expectations |

Hi, pls I’m in the Uk and I want to pursue the Canadian EE. I have just finished my masters in cyber security. Is there anyone here who has started this journey from the Uk? I have just about 2 years work experience working as a carer whilst studying. Do I qualify? In a nutshell, it’s the process same? How does it work from here. Thanks |
Re: Canadian Express Entry/Federal Skilled Worker Program - Connect Here Part 11 by Vousmevoyez(f): 10:21am On Oct 01, 2023 |
Hello, I’m not in the UK, but you can start this process from anywhere. So assuming you’re a single applicant with a masters, 3 years work experience, under 30 years of age, and ace the IELTS exams perfectly, you have a CRS of 481. Google “express entry rounds of invitation” to see what the current CRS trends are. Since you have only 2 years work experience, that means you’re already not getting the highest possible points for work experience. However, you work in tech so you might just be lucky to fall into the in-demand tech occupations which just started receiving priority for express entry. Google “express entry category based draws” and see if your tech occupation is listed there, if it does, then maybe whatever points you might lose for age if you’re above 30, from your lack of three years work experience, low IELTS scores, and if you’re not a single applicant might not matter. Go through page one of this topic to fully understand the entire process…some of which include the impact of your spouse on your CRS if you’re a married applicant. There’s so much to read on throughout this journey so be prepared to read, read and read. Goodluck! Luccilucci: 4 Likes |

Luccilucci:My questions will be: 1. Did you work full time as a care giver? You need to have worked full time to claim work experience. 2. Did you have previous work experience in IT before starting your Masters, this may account for work experience 1 Like |

Profgordons: Didn’t work full time as I was a student. Started full time as a carer after studies whilst hoping to get a job in my field. I don’t also have work experience in IT. I was running a my business in Nigeria. Though I have done unpaid internship on IT |

Re: Canadian Express Entry/Federal Skilled Worker Program - Connect Here Part 11 by tannystacey: 12:46pm On Oct 01, 2023 |
OTOIDEEHI: Not necessarily. Not many employers have the time to address letter to a specific person. I only got a default letter with : To whom it may concern..and i submitted along with my payslips and offer of employment. It was accepted. The employer just needs to reference your work history, your start and end dates, your job description and your salary if possible. |

Breezy90: What is your job role with the civil service? Put it there.. Just think outside the box and focus on you and the role. I don't know where you guys are getting all this info from but thousands of Nigerians have gone to this same canada and many of them were once civil servants. As long as you have proof and refrence for anything you fill in, i think you should be fine. |

Luccilucci: Study and digest page 1. As well as canada.ca and cic.gc.ca You'll see there that part time work experience may count, as can your previous self employed job in Nigeria and work experience while you studied, if it was within the last ten years and was paid. Page 1 post 3 speaks specifically to this. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Breezy90: Lasho1: People usually say this for NYSC but if you really worked for a government institution e.g. Federal Ministry of Finance, then it is what it is. List it as government. I don't think you'll have a problem. You may include an LOE to explain what the particular government parastatal does. I think it's people who have military or a security agency like DSS that go through long and rigorous background checks. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- nnamdi346: ThatgalJ: For AAIP https://www.alberta.ca/alberta-advantage-immigration-program. Canada work experience adds points to your family CRS. Play around with the CRS grid on page 1 post 2. Some couples create 2 separate EE profiles, one with wifey as PA and other with hubby. Also see Page 1 post 8 to read up on PNP and exploring other provinces where your NOC may be in demand. Learning French is a cheaper option than study route that many pursue in terms of cost and time to completion. |

Do you think it'll be like New Brunswick Information Session where you are given an Invitation to apply after attending such session and possibly given 600 points afterwards? I really hope it is so, so that even if I don't secure a job, I know I have that one on the side. Honeysweetest: |
