Can't say for rugged, but for the fuel economy100%. A Uber driver told me how the Hyundai Accent and Elantra safe fuel pass Corolla. Not recent model,2006/2007 Hyundai Elantra I think. And I noticed how politicians buy the Sonata too. Mikano Motors , Nissan patrol vehicles not Hilux for security operatives and in some state IVM

I drive a Mercedes Benz c300 2010, I get an average of 18-20 mpg. This month alone I have spent 153k on fueling and I covered 1,217miles (1,958kms), I traveled a lot this month that's why.. This subsidy removal really hit me, my next car will be a Toyota hybrid car insha Allah.

honesly I basically just buy cars and drive this is the first time I’m hearing about mpg. I’m stepping out to check now. I barely go out but as it stands I’m going to use the Corolla more, it’s crazy spending over 200k monthly on gas.

In all sincerity, the clearance is low and the bumper will take the first hit. But I "kicked" the shock to solve that .
The good news is that the legs (shaft, shocks, tie rods etc) can withstand any road.
And it can enter any water because the underneath is almost flat, no hanging part like exhaust so some hits that corolla do take from under in spite of the clearance, hyundai can avoid

Just get a mechanic that understand the sensors (or can read and interpret codes) because a nonfunctional sensor can make a corolla mechanic to start buying and changing parts

You don't just compare cars of the same model and year. A lot of things could vary between them: are the o2 sensors okay? is the rim/tyre size within spec? is the thermostat removed? is the radiator fans blowing nonstop? is the right engine oil being used?

All these and many more could contribute to a drop in mpg of any car

Most Nigerians are very vain people... Do you know what it means for the average Nigerian man to say "I will deal with you... Let me call my..... "... And the said....... turns up in a mint fully tinted air-conditioned fairly recent GX? ... They will happily sell their ancestral lands to keep you on the retainer, even if you end up doing very little or nothing..

The average Nigerian thinks the professional who appears richer knows far better than the one who doesn't look as rich..And in most cases, they are actually wrong .. But who cares

I used the 2014 Avalon for about a year.

During the period, i travelled to the east three times. The first time i travelled with it, i appreciated the powerful 2GR engine. However, because of the low suspension, the belly of the car suffered on bad patches of the highway.

So i decided to 'kick" the suspension when i got back to Lagos.

Second time i travelled with it, i almost had an accident on my way back to Lagos.

The raised suspension totally messed up handling and aerodynamics.

The third time i travelled with it, i knew i was done. the car had become wavy and unbalanced unlike the first time i travelled with it. "Sold it immediately afterwards.

However, the fuel economy is super for a V6. Used just a little more than half tank from Lagos to Awka on my first trip. Averaged 24.6mpg
