Pray tell why is it so easy for the president to wake one moring and announce "subsidy is gone"!.... But to cushion the effect of the subsidy removal they need to set up gazzilion communities, schedule billions of meeting with the same people that were not Consulted when the subsidy removal decision was taken?
with or without subsidy removal, salaries will be increased next year. NLC is fighting for 100% increase in salaries for government workers, what about people with no job and Nigerians in the private sector?

I don't know what u are on and about, but almost everyone knows what NLC stands for. NLC fights for the right of organised labour I.e anybody who is employed will benefit from whatever outcome of NLC struggles is as far as minimum wage is concerned. TUC is also there to push the agenda of tradesmen and women

If NLC fights for minimum wage to be 50k, what it means is that any employer (be it private or government) who pays below 50k is breaking the law. Simple!

Now back to my question. Why is it so easy for Tinubu to just wake one morning and pronounce subsidy is gone without any visible plan in sight despite knowing the whole subsidy thing has been one thing all citizens benefit from the government? Why is it so easy for him to yank it off without plans and now he has to set up gazillion committees to look into how to ease the hardship of the people ? Did he consult the private sector when he was announcing subsidy is gone ?

You attended the Obafemi Awolowo University, but you presented a forged certificate for employment, and you're saying it does not matter since OAU claimed someone bearing your name attended the school

but but Obidients create a scenario and imagination in their head and run along with it

It is like you have not gotten the memo some of these guys are about erasing the good legacies of the past administration and pushing propaganda to cover the mess afterwards. From policy summersaults to needless media gaffes, they said talk is cheap

Anyone who bins the I-DICE programme is cruel considering it took Osinbajo 5 years to get it done while consulting with tech industry players, including Bosun himself, in doing so.
We don't have to be petty about everything.

I-DICE is thorough. All partners are ready. Why change it now? Makes no sense when even AfDB has its $170 million counterpart funding ready.

I'm not the presidential spokesman, I just pointed out that a review of the minimum wage was slated for next year.

I can go on to argue that there was no money for subsidy but what's the point?

In Nigeria everybody is an expert in governance, intelligence and common sense. Only if they can channel those super powers to their personal dealings cool, perhaps they won't be crying about minimum wage.

NLC wants government to effect a 100% increase, where will SME's and private businesses get the cash to implement the increase in wage? What has TUC and NLC done to employers in the private sector paying below the minimum wage?

According to Obaseki all the governors were in agreement that subsidy has to be removed otherwise they won't be able to pay salary. Which immediately improved each state allocation and made them able to pay salaries and stay afloat

It's expected egbon. That governor too useless and crook. I've longed expected his dismissal. If we can have this type of judgment for all these crook self selected officials, it will, at least, restore small hope on our judiciary.
