He said so himself in the comment above . . however this is the first time something like this is happening. In that the officials knew they had made the wrong decision and instead of correcting it, they decided to go on with it. The referee was told to correct the mistake and he refused saying he could not go back.

Even if the game is not replayed, some people need to be punished because sorry is not enough here at all. You can't just say sorry an expect everyone to just move on.
