According to Tinubu, his certificate was stolen. I believe the one issued in June 22, 1979.

He ordered for replacement (June 27,1997 but on the replacement diploma it was typed June 27,1979) but he didn't pick it up.

The one he submitted to INEC was dated June 22, 1979. In the deposition I saw, they called it INEC diploma for simplicity sake.

I believe here is your confusion. Lemme try and explain below.

Before you forged or redo or whatever you must have a format. Like if someone wants to forge your degree you have to give him/ her the certificate to see the format right?

So the certificate Tinubu gave INEC matches the format of CSU certificate in years like CSU 9, 10 12 and other year but the INEC certificate was not issued to him by CSU.

The only valid argument here like said by others like Android17 and Nihilistjnr is that indeed Tinubu graduated from CSU

The Registrar clearly said in the depositions what Tinubu submitted to INEC is not from them and infact said he had never seen the documents until that particular day.
And unlike what the media has been narrating what Atiku has been after from day one is not whether Tinubu graduated from CSU or not which CSU has affirmed many times but the authenticity or the genuineness of the particular diploma tinubu submitted to INEC.
The 3rd party vendor claim is false,it emanated from tinubu quarters nothing like such was ever affirmed or claimed in the deposition.
And Tinubu diploma is still with them,it was never picked up by them.
I will look for the link of the depositions and post them and you should take your time to read through it when you get time.

What seems clear to me is that there was a previous meeting where other things were said, and a couple of times during the deposition, references are made to those conversations.

For example, I searched for 'offsite' in the deposition transcript, and could not find this conversation or 'offsite' in earlier paragraphs.

I didn't see any conversation in this transcript where CSU states that 3rd party vendors produce diplomas for them either.

There also seem to be references to a conversation yesterday.

At this point, I have to admit that I dont know for certain the full picture of what is going on. This deposition was focused more on establishing whether the Bola Tinubu that is president of Nigeria is the same Bola Tinubu that graduated from CSU, and while the registrar stated the schools belief that they are the same, Atiku's lawyer seemed to be insinuating that the Mr Orr that certified some of Tinubu's document might have been on payroll.

I still believe that on the basis of probability, Atiku's argument will fail in court - but I recognise that this case is not as clear as I previously thought.

It is. There no where in the deposition where CSU made such a claim about 3rd party vendors printing replacement.
The whole 3rd party vendor spin was started by the agbado camp to control media narratives.
If there is anything like 3rd party vendor in the deposition they should show us and the page it’s is contained in the deposition.
No claim like that was made by the school.
