Hi Guys, For those who have landed, did you show your funds to the CBSA officer in naira or did you have to convert to fx? As a spouse of an international student, can I provide my canada job offer/annual salary as addition pof or not reveal it to the officer at all? What are the other possible questions one can be asked by these officers. Thanks in advance! XX |

Good morning gurus, Please I need some assistance. while filling the Educational Cost (Study Permit) section what should be in the part where they ask for "Funds available for stay in Canada"? My program is a 2 year program which costs CAD 17k/year. I just want to be sure I am filling in the right information. Note: Sponsored by Father. Tuition Deposit of 9300 has been paid. Thank you! |

mwenhen: It's a tricky situation. You should await the GCMS note. Hopefully, it doesn't cite misrepresentation. If it's not that, regrettably, you may have to maintain the initial claim, or you risk facing a misrepresentation ban. Convincing a visa officer about an error in marriage status or the number of children will be challenging. But let's hear from other people here. |

pnieeventures: Your decision will depend on your financial health. If you have other sources to raise the funds then go that rather than the loan. If you do not have other sources, then you have to go for the loan. The truth is that Mpower loan is expensive but it sometimes the only loan available to international students that do not have a cosigner. You can start with them to pay pending tuition and subsequently pay them off after some time in Canada after you have built credit score with local banks to secure affordable loan with longer tenors. |

humblesifon: You already know that the course will not fly, it does not relate to your career nor your first degree. Look for courses that align to your profession. 2 Likes |

Linzo: 1. The primary applicant will use their own profile to apply for the partner. There is a place where they will be asked if they are travelling with a family member, that's where she will add the partner. 2. You need a strong SOP with proof of the relationship to stand a chance of approval. Their POF must be easily proved and where you have lump sums, they must be explained with documentary evidence. |
