The regulator regulates media and it's staff, not individuals with no connection to the media. When the VP made the statement, it wasn't like he made the comment in any particular media house. He made it in an open field while every media house had access to him. I'm not in support of the comment by the VP but the comparison by Rufai doesn't even make sense at all.
