Hi friends, I would like to confirm something about this Proof of Funds (POF). Is it necessary for the outflow to be higher than the closing balance, even if there was a lump sum received from the sale of a property for the purpose of studying in Canada? Also, has anyone deposited lump sums and, within a month, submitted 4-6 months of bank statements showing the current significant deposit and successfully obtained a visa?

I am asking this for the case of someone who has sold their property for an amount that covers the required POF, even though the outflow is not substantial.

Hello, as stated in the message you shared I will suggest you wait to get a field back from them, but you should've done your medical despite they haven't requested it the result will still be sent across for consideration.
Ifeeluxe:
Hi good day everyone,
I reapplied for a study permit visa after I was refused earlier in august.
Reapplication submitted: 5th of September
Then I was sent a message on the 6th stating they had received my application and since then, I’ve not gotten a response from the IRCC. Although I’ve not done my medicals as I want them to request for it before I proceed to doing that. What do you all reckon please
@zubizareta @JMG12 @damilare5882 please kindly help

I guess this is what one man is saying I should do. I have a Bachelor's in Nursing. What PG courses are available for someone in my field? And does it lead to residency?

You can try options like Health Care Administration (Nursing Leadership).
Mental Health and Addiction,
Gerontology , etc

These will no allow you practice as a Nurse though.

They lead to PGWP which can lead to residency.

I have a question, I submitted my application 27th July and did Biometrics and Medical 3rd of August, but medical returned as inconclusive and I needed to go for Sputum test which I did on the 7th,8th,9th and result would be out last week of this October, but I haven’t gotten update from IRCC since then, does the sputum test affect the process? Because it was an upfront medical. Or my application is abandoned till the test results are out?

Other aspects of your applications will continue to go on while they wait for you to conclude the medicals.
If your results are okay, your medical will be passed and if your are found eligible for the study permit, you will get an approval.

Augrere2022:

Only one bank allows Nigerians to apply for GIC with them and that Canadian Imperial Bank of Commerce CIBC.
Minimum is 10,000 CAD and maximum is 20,000 CAD.
Make sure you choose Student GIC Program.

And lastly, if you have a USD domiciliary account, note that if you are paying in USD for the GIC, and the USD on your domiciliary account was cash deposits, Nigeria CBN policy won’t allow you to send anything more than 10,000 USD per month which is about 13,000 CAD.
Apply application for the GIC,
Make sure you when send your money to CIBC, the fund is coming from you own account, they don’t allow third party payment.
They don’t accept Naira.
Make sure you are responsible for the transfer charges.
If you select USD, then your bank should send USD. Do not select USD and then pay CAD.
How long did the entire process from opening the CIBC account take?
And from when you transferred the funds from your Nigerian account for it to reflect on the CIBC end?

Hello,
1. Either you or your husband stand a chance to get the visa
2. A master's or higher qualification only increases your express entry point
3. That amount will not be sufficient for 1 applicant, you need to save up work on the financial aspect one person can go first due to the financial involvement
Cest2023:
Good day all, I’ve been an onlooker on this platform. Please I have few questions to ask.
I studied Civil engineering and I have about 5years experience in my field with LASG, however, hubby studied Geology and he has experience in Customer service relations and is currently undergoing ALX Data Analyst Program which will end by December. We have plans to relocate and Australia and Canada are our target. My questions are:
1. Who stands a better chance in getting the student visa? He is 34 and I am 32.
2. We both don’t have masters but I am registered in my field and we are a family of 4, do we stand a chance in express entry?
3. We have 7M presently hoping to save more, we are thinking one person should go first. Do we stand a chance?

Pardon my plenty questions, thank you.

IRCC will not look out for that the company can use any means to make your tuition fee payment, what is more important is for you to state it in your SOP that the tuition fee has been paid by your company and in their affidavit of support/sponsor they should state it likewise in the letter of sponsorship and the board resolution letter.
Mamaoseme33:
Good day my people, please I want to ask this. I'm using my company's statement of account as my POF to show that they are responsible for my tuition only. However, my first semester tuition will be paid by my boss' friend who's in the US and will not reflect in the statement of account that a withdrawal was made for my school fee.

My question is how do I convince IRCC that my company is paying my fees when the statement of account did not show that a withdrawal was made for that purpose?

What do you think? If the acct has been verified before the money was taken out then you don't have to worry if you know for sure the account has been verified, but if the account has not been verified then the money was taken out and they send a message or call for verification, just be expecting PFL

Hi guys,

I need your suggestions on this matter:
A friend of mine was banned from Canada in 2016 due to the rubbish his agent did, he travelled down to Germany which he has spent over 6 years in Germany. His wife got admitted in one of the Uni in BC, he is planning on applying with his wife and someone suggested he needs to apply for Authorization to return to Canada before he can apply for any Visa.
1. what is the success rate of this ARC?
2. is there a particular format to follow before applying for this ? kindly advice Bosses!

After applying, payment instructions may take 2 business days
There is deadline on to make the payment
According to my bank, they said the fund will get to CIBC within 24 hrs.
I did the payment on Friday and hoping they receive it on Monday.
When they received it, they will respond to me with 2 to 3 business days. By then I will be able to download my GIC cert/advise and a welcome letter.
So I’m wait for them to get back to me

A friend of mine who is already in Canada is trying to put in application for her husband and kids. The husband will be applying for open work permit while kids student permit.

When filling in the form, what should they write for the school they plan to attend, and some specific question about their studies. They are kids and in elementary school. They are not able to secure studies yet, but they have been advise to go on with the application without letter from school for the kids

Ircc do not and can not ask your present account balance they only verify the geniuness of your statement of account you presented. If your remove the money just pray they don't ask you for updated statement of account. This only happen in rear case.

Don't give wrong info they only verify if the Statement of account is genuine and not asking what's your present balance. People print their statement of account and withdraw some money. Yet they still get visa
