Re: 11 Newly Licensed Independent Electricity Distribution Network Operators by safetyInspector(m): 6:17am On Oct 09, 2023
That can happen if GENCOs and Transmission will reduce the price. DISCOs will retain their prices if Transmission cost remain fixed.
Lumarstone:
Competition now will automatically lead to tariffs and price reduction. Good development for Nigerians!!!!

Nothing like competition here, once u r domiciled with a particular distribution network, u r fixed there.
U go pray make them deliver.

Nigeria can afford it. There are millions of Nigerians who can pay if they can get 24/7 power supply

They should license generating company. This is total nonsense
Only what you generate you can distribute.
If we generate more electricity then we talk of more distribution company.

what about if we distribute more, it gives room to demand for electricity and we will be forced to generate.

There is no point generating if we don't have who to distribute it to, it's like having oil but no refinery
Re: 11 Newly Licensed Independent Electricity Distribution Network Operators by Rhozabeth(m): 5:32pm On Oct 09, 2023
See as jokers full everywhere. Is it these distribution companies that will distribute the 4,800 MW of electricity that is currently being generated? This country is a country of jokers and clowns! We cannot generate yet we are giving licences to those that will distribute what we cannot generate.

Okay.
The most important thing is, WHAT MEGAWATTS OF ELECTRICITY IS NIGERIA GENERATING AND DISTRIBUTING AT THE MOMENT AND IN YEARS?

Nigeria is such a shameless, USELESS and empty country filled with the most evil, senseless, corrupt and old fool leaders.

South Africa here is producing almost 250,000 megawatts of electricity, while Nigeria claiming giant of Africa can't even produce up 30,000.
THAT MEANS SOUTH AFRICA IS PRODUCING ALMOST X10, IMAGINE!

HOW CAN A COUNTRY SURVIVE AND PROGRESS WITH ELECTRICITY IN THIS MODERN AGE?
YET, NIGERIA STILL REMAINS 6TH LARGEST PRODUCER OF CRUDE OIL IN THE WORLD.

WHAT A SHAME!
South Africa produces about 60,000MW not 250,000. Though still shameful for Nigeria since we have almost x4 of their population
