Thank You. You did not talk about the net inside the Cat Converter.

Net inside CAT is a disaster waiting to happen

Hello Good people, Please my follow come one cell radiator started locking water and it was changed to the double cell Radiator. 2days later, the pipe from the new cell broke and my mechanic is advising I take of the thermostat. Please, is this recommendable?

Thanks nurey, my 02 sensor was disconnected, I just reconnected it. So the cat container been empty has no impact on fuel consumption right??

CAT removal causes harmful gases into the atmosphere that is the work of the CAT as long as you dont have those codes, your fuel consumption should be normal provided other car parameters are in place.

As long as you don't have p1157, p0410 and p0420 codes you should be fine

P1157 is your upstream sensor the first sensor by the exhaust pipe also known as A/F sensor.

P0410 can be fixed by changing the downstream sensor, that is called oxygen sensor the one bolted on the catalyst.

P0420 can be solved easily by buying a 02 spacer and bolting it to the straight pipe used to replace the catalyst then you bolt the downstream sensor to the spacer. Your fuel economy should improve

Please do you have a link to get this AF sensor. I am battling with P1157.

A/F sensor are available depends on the vehicle model and year, each vehicle model has it's part number one doesn't fit all

4 cylinder

36531-RBB-003

Same sensor with accord 2008 4 cylinder. Your sensor is readily available you can check honda parts market in oyingbo.

I got mine from fonialto on jiji he uses VIN to get part number and he is legit you can try him

Hello guys, help me before I ment. My car honda accord 2003 Euro threw the P2195 code, air fuel ratio sensor signal stuck lean and it started gulping fuel because it is now on open loop. at first I tried to change the sensor and we tested more than 5 sensors same code. We always Clear before scanning.

I have fixed my exhaust leak, it was welded and the cone was changed. I tried to use carb cleaner to spray the engine for air leaks but nothing, no sudden rev while spraying.

I'm stressed out, we've been on this for 2 days now. Today, we've also tried 3 other sensors.

I am pretty sure this is not a sensor issue anymore.

What else could this be? Any insights or help would be appreciated.

Could it be an electrical issue?

I am lost at this point..

run a livescan and take a screenshot of the sensor and O2 sensors

Not a good practice. Fuel consumption will increase and engine performance drops still it clog and knock one day. Just find another mechanic

I also have screenshots from torque. Those screenshots are from this morning while on idle.

It goes from open loop due to insufficient temp to open loop due to system failure.

From my little research, since the O2 sensor isn't actively showing readings, it should be an issue with the sensor.

But, we've tried several sensors. Could it be the wiring, a few days ago, I had an issue where my car didn't start and it was raining. The fuel pump wasn't supplied voltage, so an electrical guy nearby fixed it. Could it be that he somehow tampered with my O2 connection to the ecm?

Since you've narrowed the fault down to the oxygen sensor and several replacement didn't resolve the code, I'd still suggest you use a better professional scanner to pull out live reading from your MAF sensor, MAP sensor, and upstream O² sensor. Compare values with manufacturers specs to be sure they're functional.
Those 3 sensors work together to give you a balanced fuel to air ratio. Your oxygen sensor might be good actually.
Ask your rewire to back probe the wires to the ECM and ensure there's continuity all the way.
Also ask your rewire to use his multimeter to test the ohms reading on the sensor as well.
You might also want to check all your fuses 1st before tampering with anything.

My Map and intake air sensor works fine. I've tested. I'll ask him to check the connection to the O2 sensor.

Thanks.

Update, my Rewire traced the wire and said it was okay, he said he would have to flash and reconfigure the brainbox if it fails I might have to change the brain box because it might be damaged.

Update: They said they flashed the ECU and the same issue persists. I just weak.. cry

where did you buy O2 sensor from because
1. i make it a point of call never to buy O2 sensor Tokunbo because to verify the condition isnt easy and to know it it is the exact part number you need.

2. O2 sensor is not one fix all, you have to buy the particular one for your vehicle using the part number as reference.
3. Don't buy BOSCH, NGK etc buy the exact one for your vehicle, vehicles are very sensitive to OEM parts for this sensors.
4. sensor 1 upstream is the A/F sensor, Sensor 2 downstream is Oxygen sensor they are not interchangeable even though they look alike

All sensors tested are Denso plus my sensor that has been working is also throwing this code. I want my mechanic to service the fuel nozzles and look thoroughly for any air leaks on the engine intake.

You're throwing parts at the car and running in circles sir/ma.
You mind explaining how your technician runs those tests?
I'd suggest you try someone else.

Hi guys,
I checked my car wheels this morning and I noticed there was a lot of oil deposit on the metals and joints by the front right tyre which was the opposite of the left front tyre as that was quite dry.

Also I hear clanking noises from the front wheel when I drive on rough roads and gallops .
Car is a Lexus RX 350 2011

I haven't starter throwing parts yet. What we did was try other sensors, and he thought the ECU needed a reflash. My friend and Mechanic has serviced the engine , check for leaks etc.. And the same issue persists.

There are ways to bench test oxygen sensors before installation. If you've been testing with bad or incompatible sensors, you don't expect the code to go.
How did your friend find for leaks?
How did you check the sensors before replacing?

How did your friend find for leaks? - Spraying Carb cleaner on the hoses and he used a smoker too, we also did physical inspection. we DIY ourself.

How did you check the sensors before replacing them? - You know how difficult it is to get an O2 sensor that fits,so we were just trying all the sensors he had, since he is the only person that has the sensor in that APO mechanic. i am beginning to think that is the issue sef.
About benchtesting it, I saw some resources online on how to test it with a multi-meter.

Are you in Abuja??
