The level of illiteracy displayed by some of our TV anchors is stunning. I listened to one in particular this morning that kept repeating ‘when the supposed author of a document denies ever making it…’ as if that phrase or sentence is germane to the issue of Chicago State University at hand.

This my 2019 tweet below 👇 would have been applicable IF CSU HAD ADMITTED THAT THEY ISSUE REPLACEMENT CERTIFICATES THEMSELVES AND THEN GO ON TO DENY EVER ISSUING THIS PARTICULAR ONE. But this did not happen!

So, their comments or testimony or anything at all they say about THAT CERTIFICATE (which is a replacement certificate) IS TOTALLY IRRELEVANT TO PROVE FORGERY.

One can't help but notice Femi Falana's conspicuous silence regarding these pressing national issues. Specifically, his lack of comment on the following significant issues of National concern:

1. Tinubu’s certificate forgery
2. The integrity of the 2023 election

It's worth recalling that in 2002, during Chief Gani Fawehinmi's legal pursuit of Tinubu over allegations of certificate forgery, both Femi Falana (SAN) and Yemi Osinbajo (SAN) staunchly defended Tinubu, all the way to the Supreme Court.

When evidence emerged indicating possible forgery and perjury related to Tinubu's claims of graduation from Chicago State University and attending Government College Ibadan, the Supreme Court's hands were tied due to Tinubu's immunity at the time as a siting Governor.

This situation now is disheartening for many Nigerians who hold these individuals in high regard and who had hoped for their commitment to the greater good of Nigeria and its citizens, rather than what appears to be their self-serving personal selfish interests.

Intriguingly, the registrar said Tinubu also didn’t collect his original certificate from the school and that it is still lying there. Why did he say he lost it?

On the right-hand side, it says, “THIS RECORD IS NOT OFFICIAL UNLESS IT BEARS A SIGNATURE AND SEAL OF THE UNIVERSITY.”

It has been established that Tinubu attended and graduated from Chicago State University, however he forged the results he submitted to INEC. If this evidence is accepted by the Supreme Court they must debate on this 'unconventional forgery' either by the spirit or letter of the law.

Tinubu claimed the funds belonged to Kafaru Tinubu and Alhaja Habibat Mogaji, even though, years later, he told The News magazine that all the money belonged to him(crooked criminal ). In the end, Tinubu forfeited $460,000 held in his name by Heritage Bank, where he and Akande had strong links. “Why did they return $1m?” Fani-Kayode asked.

The biggest lie, peddled by Keyamo and Fani-Kayode, is that the $460,000 forfeited by Tinubu was a tax.The cover sheet of the certified true copy of the settle ment, issued on August 10, 2022, explicitly states under “Nature of Suit” that it’s forfeiture under “Code 625: Drug related seizure of property 21 USC 881.” The two boxes under “Federal tax suits” were not ticked. So, the $460, 000 was not a tax but a drug-related forfeiture.

Tinubu’s surrogates and spin doctors say he wasn’t indicted or convicted. But no rational individual would forfeit $460,000 of his hard-earned money, especially when linked to drug trafficking, without fighting to clear his name.

By having a “drug related seizure of property” recorded against his name, Tinubu is seriously tainted as a presidential candidate, and would cause Nigeria huge embarrassment if he became president....
