Let me explain better. My POF is in a dorm account, because of the nature of the account, i cant use it for daily or monthly spendings. When i am then asked to present a 6 month statement of account, the statement would be blank cos no transaction whatsoever. So i am asking if it would be acceptable as well? I hope you understand me better. Thank you Jenykech: |

Please, does someone with a 5 year gap of no employment and working experience and currently not under a paid job have a good chance with express entry? Have a 1 year NYSC working experience and 1 year post NYSC working experience 10 years ago, salary paid in cash. How does one show evidence of salary here? Reference letter can't be gotten from them as the company have closed down for some years now and their contact number is unreachable. then subsequent jobs were contract jobs not up to 1 year. . How does one put together documents under employment history with a situation like this? Please, house, help and respond |

Good afternoon, FAM. Please I have a question: In the scheme of most Nigerian employers, it is only when an employee is sacked that he or she is given a termination letter. On the other hand, if you sack the company (by resigning), one is only meant to go through the company's clearance processes. How does on claim to have worked in a company for 5 years in this case when he has only an appointment letter and no "termination" letter |

chadbaby:Your work experience must have been obtained within the last 10 years, in Canada or abroad. Any break in-between has nothing to do with you. The work experience must be at least 1 year of continuous work or 1,560 hours total (30 hours per week) Your NYSC and post NYSC can be used if both are within the last 10years counting from today. Reference letter is the only way to claim this. Your salary can be stated it was paid in cash. 2 Likes |

How about a place of work where one didn't use up to a year say 6 months each in 2 different organizations in one year ?? Voluntary resignation due to frequent verbal abuse and a toxic work environment. Is it advisable to include such places in my employment history?? |

OTOIDEEHI: Ircc does not require termination letter. You can use employment letter, any payslips showing that you were paid, get someone that worked with you to write a reference letter etc. If you reach out to the hr for a letter of reference and they can't give you, write a LOE to explain that you tried reaching out but got no response.. But really, it could even be a bank statement showing the salary you were paid on that job. Dont complicate things. Make sure if possible that your linked in profile shows the job history just in case ircc checks to confirm online.. 1 Like |
Re: Canadian Express Entry/Federal Skilled Worker Program - Connect Here Part 11 by tannystacey: 11:02pm On Oct 09, 2023 |
chadbaby: Ircc doesnt need to know why you left a job. What they want to know is if you truly have work experience proof for the points you are claiming. So every work experience needs some kind of proof. Reference letters, payslips, employment offer letter, etc. If you dont have proof or you can't get proof, then that is the only problem. Many online resources speak to this. |

Hello Good People, Please i would like to know, i work in a company where i am also a minority shareholder...do i need to state via LOE that i'm a shareholder and also work in the company before submitting my ITA...or it doesn't matter...the company is an LTD and not a sole proprietorship. Secondly, are there documents that will be required that i produce by IRCC. Thank You. |
Re: Canadian Express Entry/Federal Skilled Worker Program - Connect Here Part 11 by tannystacey: 6:10pm On Oct 10, 2023 |
pyrated: Focus on your employment. What you have an offer letter, or what you earn salary for that can be linked to a Canadian NOC code. Except you wanna use your shares as part of POF, i dont see the need to mention it if you don't wanna complicate your application. |

Hello everyone, thank you for your contributions that I have found helpful and has had me glued from page 1. I have a bit of concern because someone said that OINP has changed a bit and it would be best to ask someone that has just recently used that route, hence my questions below - I recently got a NOI from Ontario and I am not sure how to go about completing the application. For my profile, I only put my work experience as a nurse aide which lasted about a year sometime in 2019. Meanwhile, I currently work as an accountant for a company but this wasn’t stated in my EE profile . -for the resume that says we should list all current and past work experiences, am I including my current job as an accountant or leaving that out? -for the work history that also says to list all paid work experiences in the last 10 years starting with the most recent job, am I putting the other jobs I did after the nurse aide and my current job or do I stick with the nurse aide job only for which I was invited? -for the intention to reside in Ontario- (it says to state all established ties in Ontario), I don’t have a job offer neither do I have any relatives. How else can I state that I intend to reside in Ontario? -what goes in the “other activities” section? I would be truly grateful if my questions are answered. I also do not mind getting the link to join the telegram group. Thank you 🙏🏽 |

Please guys, does evaluating a Chartered Post-Graduate Diploma in Customer Relationship Management Certificate issued by the Chartered Institute of Customer Relationship Management along with my B.Sc count as 2 or more certificates? I'm new here but have been a silent reader. Thank you all |

If I select common law as status for my application, as long as the person is not coming with me. Will I still need to fill that form for common law partner when I get ITA |
Re: Canadian Express Entry/Federal Skilled Worker Program - Connect Here Part 11 by Jenykech: 8:57am On Oct 11, 2023 |
graciielo:I don’t think that will be an issue. As far as the bank can write you a reference letter confirming when you opened the account, the account balance and confirming that you’re not a debtor and that you’re the sole signatory |
Re: Canadian Express Entry/Federal Skilled Worker Program - Connect Here Part 11 by Jenykech: 9:03am On Oct 11, 2023 |
OTOIDEEHI:IRCC does not need your termination letter. I only used a reference letter with company letter head and my bank account statement for the last 6 months I worked with them to proof that it was a paid employment. |

Hello everyone, please how did you do with your money when entering Canada. My pof is in my zenith bank domicilary account. I’ll soon travel to Canada so I don’t know if I can access the money from there (I have the zenith dollar Mastercard) or do I need to withdraw cash and travel with cash. If I need to withdraw the cash and travel with it, will it be in CAD or USD? Thank you |
Re: Canadian Express Entry/Federal Skilled Worker Program - Connect Here Part 11 by Profgordons(m): 9:42am On Oct 11, 2023 |
Jenykech:No, you don’t need to withdraw cash. Upon arriving Canada you can open an account and do a direct wire transfer from your Zenith. 1 Like 1 Share |

Re: Canadian Express Entry/Federal Skilled Worker Program - Connect Here Part 11 by Influential101: 1:50pm On Oct 11, 2023 |
Jenykech:We withdrew and travelled with about 10k USD.. then opened a USD account, deposited the cash and did wire transfer for the rest.. Note there are charges for the transfer.. have forgotten the percentage.. Also, please confirm with the bank to make sure you can transfer the cash.. I think some banks have rules that if deposited the money as cash then you must withdraw it cash, same if it was transferred, then you can do wire transfer.. all the best. |
