Napoli have formally approached Antonio Conte today. Discussions will follow with direct talks to understand if he can be the right man to replace Rudi Garcia.

No final decision made yet as there are many crucial points to discuss before advancing with Conte.

I guess he's replacing Adeleye who's stuck in Israel.

Don't think he deserves at least not for now but everyone is owed a second chance all the best to him.

this like Okoye’ 50th chance 🙄

Appears football has fallen for this madness of inclusivity. What's with this trend of multiple hosts? I guess we are moving into a phase where a single host is a thing of the past.
Northern Ireland is part of UK. Republic of Ireland is like Southern Ireland. So really no difference. They are all one country!!

For him to get a second chance, atleast he should be playing for his clubside...

Do we have quality keepers?NO..Uzoho is warming bench in poor league,so Udinese second choice deserves eagles call up.

I don't like the way we are treating this Okoye matter,

That ball He cancelled for goodness sake can fool any top goalkeepers, he even got a hand to the ball, thought not strong enough,

If we are to go by that, then Uzoho had no business being on the team, cos it was his blunder that caused us the worldcup

The issue was not even the goals the two conceded but the issue now where is the quality keeper.

Uzoho is number one cuz we don’t have choices but fact remains Uzoho is second keeper in a very poor league while we have Maduka now in Udinese though as second choice.

He deserves to be invited in the first place but looking at it tactically, having two second choice keepers in national team, not too good……but can Adeleye or Olorunleke step up in a major tournament is a big question mark.

Why is Netherland not calling Zirkzee up. That boy is a serious baller. He outclassed Osimhen when Napoli played Bologna. Same skillset as Boniface but more fluid! Fantastic talent!! I am shocked Bayern allowed him to leave. Watch this space that boy will soon move to bigger things!!
I will be happy if we can convince him to play for us!!

Okoye none invitation by Paserio has nothing to do with AFCON.
Same reason Awaziem was not called up until now under Paserio is the same reason Okoye has not been called up.
Okoye flopped in our friendly against Algeria home-based team. He tried dribbling the Algerian strike, unfortunately the striker took the ball from him and scored. Since then Paserio has not invited him cos of that mistake.
Awaziem own was during our friendlies in the United States. He flopped badly.
Remember that was his first game after the World Cup scenario. So, it has nothing to do with AFCON at all.

Just few games without Debryune, Haaland is already showing us he's an Improved Christian Benteke with the Finishing skills of Yarmolenko

Now Remove Bernado, you'll now see that Haaland is an inexperienced Alvaro Morato with the Attacking threat of Yaya Sanogo

Finally if you remove Rodri from that Team, you'll now discover that Haaland is an Overhyped Andy Carrol with Credibility of Bendtner and the Creativity of Jonjo shelvey spiced with the Finishing brain of Jordan Ayew 😂

When many repeated this same analogy for you months back and even years ago, you didn't seem to accept it. Why now saying it now to justify a stance? Why?

You have made several claims without a single specific reference.

I really don't know what you are talking about.

You forgot to consider quality and competition. Osimhen, Ndidi, Nacho and others were easily drafted into the national team because of what they offered and the fact that we couldn't boast of quality players in their respective position then.

V.O., Ndidi, K.C, progressed, improved, developed, improved, beyond mere youthful potential to consistent, outstanding quality performance in club and league.

That was the basis for selection into the SE, primarily beyond any other considerations.

after U20 world 3-5 players from the set are drafted into the senior national team and that is how we discovered most of our best players. But since the Advent of foreign born players, that transition process has stalled.

Dude you don't use youth football exploits as a basis for quality and or selection into the senior national team.

It's simply foolishness.

Foreign born and academy players have taken over due to poor grassroots development from NFF.

Football development is long term not short term and it's planned and strategic.

For many years England were the kick and rush, blood and guts merchants for decades. They could not produce quality, technical top level players..

The admittance of failure is the beginning of success.

English FA started with a long term development plan and strategy that started with coaching development .

I've watched a complete regeneration of the footballing academy system in England.

You would have noticed the kind of players coming out of the academy systems in the UK. There was a time it was very difficult to get English players playing outside of the UK.

But that's not the position anymore, English players are playing across the top league of Europe and now the EPL is s the best league in the world 🌍.

It didn't happen over night or from wishful thinking.

Unfortunately, with bitter pain, l hate to say it but apart from the entertainment industry every other area of development has gone backwards.

So I don't see anything currently or in the near future that's going to change with the current state of our political leadership.
