A001: I'm sure when you are sleeping you dream of religious folks, nowhere even in my post have I even mentioned anything religion but your brain has been so wrapped that you see religion in everything. Let me make it simpler for you, maybe your pea sized brain can finally be put to use. Blessing is English, Ibukun is the translation of Blessing from English to Yoruba. Same way, in Arabic God is Allah, while Yoruba call God Olorun or Olodumare so when they are translating these Quran which was written in Arabic to Quran, they simply replace Allah (God in Arabic) to Olorun (God in Yoruba) likewise English. It's also the reason why when you read the bible, Lord is referred to as Oluwa and not Olorun. It's simply translation from one language to another. For someone who claimed to have read all the books in this world, it's one of the wonder that I have to be explaining this simple concept for you. 15 Likes 4 Shares |

Itsrm: They need liquidity to flow into the market and if those that trade those 43 banned items can bring their liquidity into the official market, it can help stabilize things. They are trying to clear all the backlogs first, it's the backlogs that's not allowing CBN to properly bring liquidity into the market because Emefiele has ruined everything. We wait and see how the next 6 months goes. Time is the revealer of all things. |

OasisX: People who need items that were not banned by the CBN can't get FX from them. Where will the Fx now come from to meet the new demand? The liquidity in the I&E window is low and has been going down. That is why people who want to import items not banned by the CBN are turning to the black market. Only way this works is for the CBN to massively pump FX into the I&E window but we all know they don't have it. Again, I'm not an economist so they probably know better. |

larride:You're just a kid with nothing in his head. All those you mentioned were past humans. All the gods of religion were past humans and there are tons of evidence in support of that (though being a dolt, I know you don't really care about any evidence). Argue between now and the next 50 years, the truth will always remain the truth. Only children and those wey their never brain never fully mature say the nonsense you typed up there. You don't have basic knowledge of this subject. You're not worth my time. I'd simply bin any further mentions from you on this issue. larride: Those who trade those 43 items can't bring in liquidity. They will only drain liquidity from the market and put more pressure on the official window. The question we should ask is, why were they banned in the first place? So that those who actually need the dollar for more important things can get it. As it stands, even those who need the dollar for more important things can't get it. |

Itsrm: ....ain't an Economist either, but I believe CBN must have done their homeworks well before lifting the Bans. Majority on this board agreed PMB's economic policies fail woefully, present administration wants to reverse some of the unfavourable politicies, yet we ain't satisfied. How can they control Inflation without reversing policies that actually caused it?! A Bag of Rice was less down ₦20k prior to the Ban, what's the current price now?! ₦40k+ What's the essence of producing locally if it will have no positive effect on Inflation. I understand it creates jobs but for how many percent of Nigerians?! CBN also makes it clear there will be intervention from them regarding availability of fx, let's wait and see bro. |

larride: Nigeria is not a producing nation, and if we are going to erase the 2% progress we have made on that, wahala dey. I don't think inflation was at zero before Buhari banned those items. After the ban is lifted and we enjoy the relief for a while, dollar will still go back to where it was. History will always show us that. My condolences to those who are producing tomato paste here. 1 Like |

So dull. The Yorubas codified their thoughts, ideas, beliefs, and everything they know in the Odu Ifa literary corpus. Their god, Olorun Olodumare or Eledumare in some dialects, is well stated there and the children he had, Obatala and Odua. Your idol, Jehovah, from Isreal is stated clearly in the Bible the Oyibos, your slavemasters brought for you. But because some Yorubas, who has been captured as slaves by the whites, called Yahweh Olorun, two entities with a distinct history, everyone must accept that glaring lie so we can all be slaves like you. If Olorun = Jehovah, where's Jehovah in the Odu Ifa? Some people no get brain at all. The fact that Tinubu and Biden both answer to the title, president, doesn't make Tinubu and Biden the same individual. |

Segedinho: 1. Prophet Muhammad (saw) mother was from Medina. And Medina is partly Arab and Jew I think there are some Christian. 2. He migrated to medina because of prosecution from the polytheist in mecca, though he has instructed some of his follower to migrate to Abbysinia 3. How can a man with little follower as she claimed conquer large number of people ? He was welcome in to Medina with fanfare because he has already has some follower in Medina 4. Their is a war which claimed most of prophet follower due to sabotage of the Jew that was when they have problem. I think the tax thy are paying is equivalent to zakkat which Muslim pay 5. The yom Kippur fasting she is referring to is equivalent to Ashura and Tasura fasting, (it is a celebration of the day the Israelite freed from the bondage of Pharaoh) it is an obligatory fasting as we have 13,14,15 of every Islamic month and Monday and Thursday fasting of every week. Ramadan is compulsory She did not talked how Islam was wiped out of Spain by Ferdinand and Isabella. Lastly civilization was build on human blood and you cannot take civilization away from religion. Buddhist did their own through the mongol Zoroastian through Persian empire Christian with Holy roman empire Islam with the Caliphate 2 Likes 1 Share |

BlueRayDick: I agree - it wasn't. I expected concise talking and actionable points from Obi. That every of his supporter has expressed since his press conference. But a supporter of a violence-magnet like BAT who thinks Obi being ascribed as having the likening of a preacher is a 'trollable' slur should have his head checked. At least if BAT had such a trait, state-sponsored thugs wouldn't have attacked voters exercising their right, or murderous gangsters like Oluomo and Asari wouldn't be frolicking with Nigeria's GCFR. 4 Likes 1 Share |

Itsrm: The reason Buhari gave for banning them then was to be able to manage our scarce fx resources and encourage local production. 8yrs down the line, can you say the policy has worked? Once the 43 items are banned, they can now buy and sell forex at the I & E window. Of course they are bringing liquidity also to the market. |

Itsrm: One thing I'm still waiting for CBN to do is to bring fintech into the forex space. Bring Flutterwave, Wise and the likes into the market and license them. These Fintech companies process alot of forex transaction especially for inflows (diaspora remittance) which will bring the needed liquidity into the market. It might also be time to look at how the FG can work with Binance. |

"For someone winning election back to back, you know that you must be close to your people and you must always consult widely with your people. So for me to join the APC, I did my consultation and then I listened to the voice of my people, "If you look at the APC today, you will discover that the President [Bola Tinubu] has been super fair to the South-East irrespective of our votes during the elections. Giving us the minister of works [David Umahi] is something that would not have been possible in the past. [There are] other appointments that are coming and so many other good things he wants to do for our people. “So, it is very important for us now to join the centre party so that we would not be left behind. The entire South-East is joining where I am going. “Just watch and see what is going to be in the next few weeks, some of the people expected to join the APC include senators and other major stakeholders in the South-East...." - Senator Ifeanyi Uba |
