The middle east countries are very rich and have made multi trillions of dollars from oil and gas energy. They spend their money sponsoring religious related expenditure that in the real sense is needless in modern times most especially promoting Islam outside their territory given birth to terrorism and destructing themselves on sectarian basis. It's Iran that has invested heavily in science and technology, advance research, nanotechnology, defense systems. Saudi Arabia is using it's money to patronize western world powers especially USA and UK to acquire latest military toys and those countries are their strong allies. In event of escalation, Iraq will strike Saudi Arabia. Some of them are very happy because of Gazans suffering.
