Shortly after I received a message from dhl that I need to pay a whooping sum of 120k before my package will be released to me. It's not DHL extorting you, it's those bloody nigerian customs officials.

Every DHL,UPS,FEDEX etc importation/cargo goes through customs and the criminals are the ones placing those exorbitant fees. I faced it so many times. They will not release your items until the fees are paid. It's a pathetic situation.

Whats the way forward. Can 8t be negotiated to at least 40k.

Ok because i called them i anger 3hrs ago and even banged the damn phone on them. If to say i get free cash now i for no mind. But just settled a bill of 300k last week and this one wan wreck me. I will give them time.ive mailed them like 15times .dem no gree reply me again o.a whole 120k. When i no be dangote

From 120 they messaged me again this morning that im to pay 250k as import duty.I don off my phone since. Straight to twitter. Ole

If you don't settle within a specific time they will market your phone. It is a common practice among them.

Then they will pay for damages.
