Nobody is talking about the big Elephant in the room, which is lack of electricity. This week I've spent 58,000 naira on fuel for my generator for work, that is full tank for alot of cars every week, and the car owners are complaining, what about us that need Electricity to work.

I barely get 6 hours of electricity, I tried buying solar, but the conditions are too much, turn off this, turn this on, don't use this bulb. Mehn, plus I can't turn on AC while working.

Since my work is from home I decided to buy a laptop worth 1million here on Nairaland (thanks to Nairaland) just to ease my work, atleat I get 4 hours of break in severe heated room with my laptop.

How else can someone survive in this country with this low electricity, is there any state that is better? Or is it a must I have to travel to another African country just to get simple electricity to work. My generator just went off and my fuel gone, that why I came here to rant. I'm going to buy feul at 615 naira per litre cry

You'll still have to buy a solar system. I use one too and I work from home. It powers everythin, TV, Washing machine, blender, etc. Just budget 600k+. Its like a lifetime investment cos they r durable.

I'm trying to understand what laptop you comfortably bought for 1 million naira only to come on nairaland to lament about spending 160K on generator usage monthly.

Sounds like you have the tendency to be wasteful when you can have same satisfaction from spending lesser on alternatives.

My system cost me 370K. I don't own a generator. I have a solar power pack I ordered from New Jersey at a cumulative cost of 175K. It's charged with electricity as well and can keep my gadgets and system powered for 80 hours before the next charge.

I also have a mini solar installation done at 160K that enables me use two fans and bulbs and when electricity comes on, I use my AC.

Everything listed here didn't even cost me up to the amount you wasted to buy a laptop. Sometimes you have to plan according to economic realities.
I am interested in this solar power pack. What can it power and how long does it last? I have power supply for between 18-22 hours or more per day but just ordered starlink and may need something to power it on the rare occasion we don't have power supply.

the money for solar is too much. I already have solar, and I'm switching off my light now there is rain, I hardly have 5 hours from my solar, no light to charge, no sun either
Even without sunlight, your solar system should charge. Mine will even charge full from less than 20% with no sunlight in a day and I'll even power my laptop. Consider adding one more solar panel.

Those saying electricity has improve nationwide should speak for themselves, what about the rest locations with paltry power supplies?

My area is very poor when it comes to electricity -- we all deserve the best electricity supplies, but, sure we're living in Nigeria?

lol what do you refill in 4 months? If it's your ac then there's a leakage somewhere. Normal ac without leakage should last no less than 3 years.

If you fill your gas every 4 months you're being scammed.
yes thats true, I discovered there was leakage. but that has been fixed. I used to think its because I use it 247, thats what one fake technician told me.

Sorry to hear about your ordeal! But the alternative is a laptop powerbank and dc powered fan, all you can get for under 200k or around this figure, you can add solar with another 100k later. I build and sell laptop powerbank and inverter systems for over 8 years now and suprisingly, people like you don't know about our product yet. I guarantee you a good value to your money and a brand new start, noiseless life! I am reachable on WhatsApp via +2348065316307

You still need to go back to that solar advice. Solar is the way for us all.

I agree with this statement because the Nigerian state is not ready to make power generation and distribution a priority, that is why we have decided to be a part of the solution by providing portable alternative energy like laptop powerbank and inverter

if you are living in Osun State, light 💡 is 15 to 18 hours per day stable. In ibadan light 💡 isn’t stable except you are living in the estate 🏡 in Ibadan . I will advise you to used solar panel that is of dry cell battery 🔋 solar system. Just get one and watch it for 12 months and check his durability.

I will recommend you take a look at Lithium battery, last longer and lighter in weight.

You don't want to use solar because of conditions, but can spend 160k on fuel? You sure say you get sense like this?
I acquired a solar unit of less than 800k in February (dedicated solely for work. Connected only to my work Space), and I've never started my generator since then. The last fuel I bought for my generator is still almost 10 litres left.

Good decision! We also offer cheaper alternative for workstations like yours,Much cheaper too, see previous post above. Value for money guaranteed, don't hesitate to recommend us for those on a budget. Warm regards!

Always talk about your own. Most states have only their state capitals as their cities what of the rest LGAs?
I'm in a popular city infact due to epilieptic power since January,my zone just sued our Disco to court and barred them from entering it for disconnections or whatsoever for 1 month now.

Imagine having light once 6hrs) in a one week.
I have so much work and bearing the deadline but tired of running generator.
2 weeks now I have been going to a tailors in another area to use their light.

It's very frustrating

Sorry about the experience. Consider buying Cooldipo MPS laptop powerbank, see more details above

I only use generator freezer, washing machine and to iron clothes when necessary so I use less of petrol, thanks to the same 'conditioned' solar that gives me 24/7 uninterrupted power supply.

check the state you live very well, there are areas with at least 20hrs of power supply. try to move to those places and you will cope just fine. where I stay in ph electricity cannot be your problem because the light is almost 247. four days without interruption and if it goes off in less than 20mins it back again. my ac runs almost 247 and I refill every four months.

What part of PH is this.

But people will decide to act stupid n later blame d government

The only thing u can’t use with a 430k solar is hot plate

Some people here just want to do stupid things n look for who to blame

Even ordinary sunking solar fan na 80k n u will use it for 12 hours comfortably

I spent less that 500k for my solar n I am good to go

Please can u help me with the contact of the guys that helped u set up this 430k solar that can use AC.
What's the capacity of the setup.

Thanks in advance
