Rikze: Which is a good thing there's no God for bid there. As Nigeria is currently we should be budgeting nothing less than 200tn naira if you want to attain level of development like abroad. We need to develop infrastructure, give grants and loans. This require money. What's 30k salary for a man with 5 children? What's barely $30bn for a country with 200mn population. That money is barely enough for Texas state ministry of water resources, not even health o. 2 Likes |

peekspot: How can the exchange rate be pegged at N700 per dollar? He said FEC made assumptions about the reference price for crude oil which is at $73.96 per barrel as well as an exchange rate of N700 $1.00 = N1020 as of today! |

Where will they get such amount from ? All from oil revenue or more borrowings to fund budget is on the horizon? The part Nigeria is going is not sustenable. you just can't keep borrowing to fund recurrent expenditure it would be catastrophic when the economy caves in. Maybe Nigeria would later be like the Zimbabwe of this world. There is really no reflection of all the trillions of budget passed in the economy. The economy is is just stagnant since 2014 no headway. |

Simeonjoe1: If you don't know that you didn't make any sense, then there's problem. Let me ask you, all the trillions budgeted for since the last few years, where did they spend them? All the budget padding we heard of during the last administration, who was prosecuted for it? All the millions of dollars, in hundreds, that were borrowed, did we see the effect on the civil servant with five children? What happened to having a sound economic team? If the economy was stable without high inflation and the current uselessness of the naira, would the budget be that huge? Are not aware that most of the money would either be diverted or mismanaged? Well, since you are an APC supporter, I didn't expect much from you. Peace✌️ |

Government of propaganda and lies. Pegging exchange rate at 700NGN, for the 2024 budget. 1. Can the government afford to supply rice and other importers, of the 43 items, at this rate? If they do, what will be the impact on local rice producers ? Inflation has increased for every month this year. Now at 26%. If your salary is 100k, your purchasing power is now worth 74,000 in the market. Note the government figures is highly rigged. 1 Like |
