Kenny4real68: Self sponsor is a crazy route to follow and I have had my share of the breakfast recently. These VOs shine their eyes once they see selfsponsor nowadays. My advise, complete your full tuition fee and do a GIC of at least 10k CAD. Have solid home ties, letter of introduction, landed properties, tax clearance, pension reference and statement, employment letter, affidavit of return, etc. I believe your closing balance will be sufficient afterwards. 1 Like 1 Share |

To be honest it’s not that straightforward. The masters for instance, everyone I asked on Nairaland convinced me it was impossible to get a masters with a 2:2, I had simply given up till i was introduced to this agent. My fear is just this statement of account issue. Thanks Damilare5882: |

What masters are you doing that you need 100M proof of fund ?. You could ask ur agent how they did their calculations. From information available here and other sources, minimum funds required to support yourself as a student: show first year tuition fee ,best to pay some or all of it if you can, yearly living expenses of 10k, 20k for 2 years program. 4k for first accompanying family member and 3k each for others. With maybe an additional 5k for miscellany. I guess you are self sponsored, in which case they want to show every fund, and maybe they are also trying to give the impression that you have excess. But like someone pointed out earlier, the self sponsor is hard to win. i tried it in 2018. You might need to show more than money. Assets and ties. Just an advice, sort out your pof yourself. Pof is not just about dumping millions in your bank account. How do you explain it with proof ? Explain the source. askarachi: |

No I’m not self sponsored per se. My dad is my sponsor so the funds should be in both our accounts , mostly in his and yes ties were provided. Trust me I was so shocked when they mentioned that amount but they told me if I can’t provide that they’re not interested in touching the application bytecode: |

My friend is studying a two-year(4semesters) PGD program, with a total 3 semester tuition costing around 22k( each semesteris 7k) 4th is CO-OP, no tuition, He has paid 7.7k CAD already. .He also secured a 10kcad per session post-graduate scholarship award from his work place .
