Good day fellas, I want to take u guys on my journey of preaching good Agronomic practices in farming.

On the 14th of August, I took the soil sample of the abandoned field, I did the test myself because I have a soil testing kit, I found out that the soil ia deficient in Nitrogen, so I am set.

On the 15th of August, i started planting. 4 cups of pure sesame seed ( ncriben 04e ) was planted with the help of some young kids in my area.

I used dibbling method because the land was strong. Some boiz done turn am to football field

This picture@ day 25 after planting...I started noticing the nitrogen deficiency

I applied a nitrogen based fertilizer ( urea)

Day 38... Urea effect is now showing...

I usually scout the field twice every week for any possible fungi or pest infestation... I discovered pest attack, so I sprayed Cypermetrin

I sprayed pheromones to attract pollinators... Sesame also can be pollinated by insects... Note: done spray chemicals without wearing ur clothes...this is just pheromone, it smell very nice...

Below is the early bloom stage, at this stage 50 Percent starts producing noodles

These is great. When is the best planting period for this. What is challenges did you encounter? I will try my hand on it next year.

sesame can be planted twice in a year... U can plant the first batch in April, the second batch in July, august and September latest... The major challenge I faced was pest attack... It attack the leaves, but with the help of Cypermetrin, I was able to overcome

Funny enough, this is the most less stressful farming to venture into.

The only issues with sesame farming is that the moment it is time to harvest and you extend the time even if it is by just a week, you're sure of loosing almost half of the farm because it may spill open and then the whole grains will otilo.

What is it used for? I've never really checked out this seed and it's uses. Only read about it in Ali baba and the 40 thieves. Open sesame. Close sesame

But on a serious note, field wey we dey use stretch body for weekend. E reach you, you corner am dey do sekem on it... Why we no go pour salt inside your generator

Even when asked questions, you rarely respond, and even when I asked a valid straight forward question, na political response you give.

According to @Curious345, "This crop gives you just 300kg per hectare" . For those who don't know what a Hectar is, an Acre is 6-Plots of land, while a Hectar is 15-plots of Land. So @Esude007 (Op) is gonna get just one paint rubber of sesame seed harvest from this farm. Now that's highly unlikely since there would be other factors that could REDUCE his outPut.

Recall that a Hectar is about 15-Plots of Land

But @Curious345 responded to OP's claim that a hectar (about 15-plots) could produce up to 10-bags by saying "this one na Ai farmer😂😂😂😂 don't let google break your heart ooo"
