BUA deceived Nigerians,
The actual deduction he made was just #500, he reduced factory price from #4000 to #3500 while we common Nigerians thought the market price will be #3500.

The market price now will be around #4800

Even you go to buy new one now, there is no price reduction. The BUA that reduced price is no where to be found.

BUA recently approved selling their product at 3,500. Everyone was happy and we were waiting for retailers to reflect the new price. But I discovered that the retailers are yet to reflect the new price and they are still selling it at old price. Cement is still 5,200 in Ilorin, Kwara State.

Prize can never change. Many of you don't really understand business.

U borrow Millions in bank to stock your shop with cement at rate of 5200 from factory. And the factory make public announcement that cement wil be 3500 in 10 days time. Do u think the person that borrowed money in bank will see any buyers? No. Every buyer wil wait for new price while factory main customers will become a big losers. So don't keep hope and fake miracle.

When demand is more than supply, this is what you get: SCARCITY. And when a product is scarce, the price goes up.
Price reduction is a marketing gimmick by BUA cement to overtake Dangote as the foremost cement brand in Nigeria, with the price reduction, BUA cement is on everyone's lip, and everyone is looking for that brand because of the purported price reduction.
If BUA can't match it's supply with customers' demand, then the price reduction is a mirage as it will just remain a marketing tactics

I always say this, Nigerians are the most wicked people on earth. They're always quick to increase price and want it to remain like that or even increase more.



Immediately they announce that pump price is 2k per liter all filling stations will comply immediately but if it falls down to comply will be problem.

Here in Auchi Edo State few kilometers from the production site it sold at #3,700 but in Benin City is sold at #3,900__ #4000...

IBETO knows how to crash cement prices. Before you know it, Dangote & Co will be complaining that IBETO is a threat to his business.

To hell with monopoly that's fleecing the masses even after getting forex from Govt/CBN at ridiculous rates

They are taking BUA to rebag as other brands and sell at the brands rate.

Cement is a highly sought after commodity . Most retailers sell off 600 bags in two weeks max if location is good . Some sell off in a week with a profit margin of 100 to 200 naira per bag . They should quickly cut their losses and move into the new price regime to continue making profit . Business is not profit all the time .

How do you want retailers to quickly reflect the price to N3,500, is not possible, they wikk first sell out their old stock, that they bought at higher price, before they now restock at new price and sell at the price they were given...

I don't sell cement, but these people need to make their money back, hence they will run at lost...

Why are citizens making life hard for ourselves? This isn't the government's fault now. Na still average citizens still dey do this. Buying at cheap price, hide & then sell higher later omoh.

I agree with the guy I read his comment earlier before now. That was why I punched super like for him.

Most of these sellers can do magic.

They can buy the BUA at the reduced price, rebag it in another Brand's bag and sell at such a higher price and make an abnormal profit.
