Ok let's stick to league goals how many both of them don score broda?

Leverkusen no win shingbain but they dey play European competition.

Boniface has been performing according to the gospel of here and now (copyright Komekn) so why shouldn't I assess Boniface based on his current form?

So if Awo should surpass him at the end of the season we will all see it and will not need to be running any silly agenda.

forgiveness:

Wash.

Leverkusun is not a top club in Bundesliga. Gbam.

Leverkusun never win shingbin league. Gbam.

You said Boniface is better than Awoniyi because he is more technical. What is technical if not galala dribbling? grin

Boniface 9 goals in 10 matches including other competitions but Awoniyi goals in other competitions are irrelevant. grin See hypocrite. grin

Abeg! How many double digit league goals Boniface don score in his entire career?

I think you are mistaken my point of view. Awoniyi is one of the best striker in England and I brokered the Chelsea's link.
Awoniyi was also one of the best strikers during his time in Germany. Awoniyi is a striker extraordinaire! He should not be disrespected by anyone and you can see my calling out Supernerd for not including him in his AFCON list.

However, Boniface is something different entirely and if he keeps working hard at 26 years he won't play for any team less than top 2 in the 5 top leagues.

Controversial Forgiveness I've almost missed you grin

Now based on eye test Boniface is talent wise and ability ahead of Awoniyi. Victor's technical ability on the same ball is clear for all to see. If
you're talking longevity and experience yes you can give it to Taiwo but it's only of recent over the past 2-3 years that Awoniyi has found his scoring boots.

Now as per playing at highest level yes EPL is bigger but the difference is not like day and night. Boniface plays for Leverkusen a top level German side involved in European competition. Nottingham Forest with due respect to them are a modest side. I can't say because you're doing well at Everton you are now better than someone top striking for Dortmund using EPL rating as excuse.

The only plausible argument you have is Boniface needs to be assessed over a longer period of time to see if he's the real deal but my brother based on what I've used my korokoro eye to see Victor has outstanding talent way ahead of Taiwo.

I agree wholeheartedly with everything you said.

Victor Boniface is now the second most expensive Super Eagles star on the transfer market after his valuation shot from 12 Million Euros to 40 Million Euros.

Napoli striker Victor Osimhen is the most expensive Nigeria star by Transfermarkt at 120 Million Euros.

German Bundesliga club Bayer Leverkusen splashed 20 Million Euros to sign the exciting striker from Union St Gilloise in the summer.

He has since justified this big-money transfer with goals and awards.

His market value rose by 230%.

ā€œHeā€™s one of faces of Leverkusenā€™s rise to the top of the table,ā€ remarked market value admin Julius Weilbenstein.

ā€œLeverkusen made a great deal when they paid just 20 Million Euros for Boniface.

ā€œAlthough he is 6ft 2 inches, Boniface is very mobile and fast.

ā€œBoniface just doesnā€™t score goals but also combines attributes that make the quintessential modern No 9: a forward who doesnā€™t just score goals but holds the ball and provides assists.ā€

Recently, my son's team won AMAC competition. One of the coaches in his club scouted him and 6 other players to play for his personal owned club because his own players are overaged.

One player from the original club is very fast and technical but he is a very selfish player. He would rather dribble or shot than pass to the nearest player.

At the end of the competition, he was chosen for national team u15/16 and he won the highest goalscorer of the tournament though missed several glaring chances.

On several occasions, the team were almost knocked out of the competition due to his selfishness but miraculously, they won the tournament.

Back at the main club, he was immediately pulled out or told to keep once he displaces his galala dribbling.

The last league match, the club lost the match because he refused to past on several occasions.

No doubt, he will go up but how far? European football has gone beyond that.

Technical ability is good but in modern football, tactical ability is over everything.

Messi and Ronaldo are both technical and tactical in their early years but as they grew, they became more tactical.

But most Nigerian thinks technical ability will make you world class player. grin

The statement in bold is what have observed about Boniface. Sometimes a simple pass would have given his teammate opportunity to score but instead he would be twisting and turning or just shoot at goal. That's why he has so many shots at goal but mostly off target. He has the abilty to make lot of assist with his skillset. He needs to understand the need to pass the ball when his team mates are free in the box if he his closed down. In Leverkusen, they create lot of scoring chances, they are constantly moving into space and releasing the ball. Without him, they will still score lot of goals. But he brings a different dynamics, he is a striker who plays as a 7/8/9/10/11. I believe once Patrick schik is back to full fitness, Boniface will end up on the wings because he lacks that cut edge finishing.

I also think there was a pass he could have made to Moffi against Saudi, but he took a speculative shot which probably ended up "going out of the stadium". Now Boniface is an exciting talent and with right coaching and attitude from him, he's destined for the top obviously.

[quote author=forgiveness post=126512223]If you believe Victor Boniface will make the team ahead of Taiwo then I can boldly say you don't rate Taiwo but unfortunately, he is way ahead of any Nigerian striker in the world save Victor Osimhem.

He's playing at the highest level with the best players on the planet earth. He has already don dat at Bundesliga before he went to EPL.

Don't tell me you now rate Bundesliga above EPL just because of numbers of goals. Remember, you rated Osimhen ahead of Taiwo because he was in Seria A which was above Bundesliga even when Taiwo out scored him in 2021/2022 season.

Don't talk about consistency. grin

Internet doesn't forget things at all. grin

If at all we are to pick competent and consistent strikers over 3 to 4 seasons, there's no way Taiwo will not make top 2. That's even behind Osimhen but on Nairaland, he is not even in top 6. grin

What a joke.

Sir from d look of thinks d 2 strikers av different styles of play and donā€™t forget VB stated dat he started as a mid-fielder hence his roaming nature while TA is more of a static nine.

In all honesty without prejudice, l have never see a player who is so tall and big but keeps falling down at the slightest physical touch.

It's quite disgraceful and it doesn't help him at all. When you are talk and big , there is an expectation of a good degree of physical dominance, but he has none.

He is literally joke.

I said donkeys ago he would not survive in English League one , he would get wasted.

My view of him has not changed. I think the less physical and intense lower quartile of La Liga is his best level.

But he is simply not good enough for the SE.

Talking about goalkeepers.

Since we simply don't have one , could we go wrong with Okonkwo, considerating how poor Uzoho is past and present.

Media talk about Okonkwo says he has something, having been a reserve goal keeper for Arsenal is a lot better than being first choice in the Cypriot league IMO.

My point stands. Statically speaking, Taiwo is far above Boniface.

Don't come here and start your propaganda Boniface is better.

If Boniface is better then he's better than Osimhen.

Some hypocrites who didn't rate Bundesliga when Awoniyi was shutting down their mouth have suddenly began to rate Bundesliga because of agenda.

The reason the national team has not achieved beyond its potential.
