The problem with the 4-4-2 (in my opinion) is that the midfield duo of Ndidi and Iwobi will be overworked.. When you consider the fact that our current wing options sometimes go off, it becomes necessary for Iwobi to play higher up the pitch to create chances, but that wpuld be difficult if Ndidi doesn't have enough support in midfield..

This is where fisayo dele bashiru fits in. If he plays as a false winger in a 4 4 2 he can help iwobi and ndidi in midfield and also move forward to create chances. I have read his profile and he seems like a midfielder/winger kind of player.
Its up to pesiero.
Anyway in my opinion if micheal essein and okocha were in our midfield tgen 4 4 2 is easy. Those 2 can never be outnumbered in midfield. They are freaks of nature

is Gift Orban a product of premature overhype? his form lately has been lethargic, Baba never score since last month now and with the plethora of attackers in the SE, I doubt he has a chance to make the AFCON squad especially with his recent Togo wahala...maybe Togo NT is his surest path to international football.

Remo star vs Sporting Lagos today…pls update us on Nwoke and Bankole.

CC: BascoVanVeli
Who are the best centre back pairing for the Super Eagles right now? We seem to focus only on the GK at the moment but I feel we don't have a settled back line.

Most of the CBs are old and the new guys haven't really stamped their authority.

Awaziem seems to have faded away. Ifhe had progressed, he would have been a bridge between the old and new generation and ultimately the leader at the back.

I watched Boniface from the blast of the whistle till the last minute,
I think he can be the playmaker/ support striker we are looking for.
Iwobi can be drafted to the wing since Chukwueze is under performing.
Osimhen will always perform better as a lone striker.
I think our first team and bench for Afcon should be 90% ready by now.
It's my first comment. I appreciate you all for the good work here.
Nice post.
I think this lineup will will work wonders: (From midfield) 4.3.3

Onyeka - onyedika

Ndidi

Iwobi - Osimhen - Boniface

That would leave his wing exposed. Rather than one of the wingers dropping to Midfield, it makes so much sense for one of the strikers to do so instead.

Iwobi on the wing? Our only creative outlet? I'm not sure it will work o.

4-3-1-2 would be good for us.

But that means our wingers will be sacrificed. In any case formation can be changed during the course of a match. With the personnel at our disposal our coaches have to be dynamic.

4-4-2 is limited and too limiting for the kind of football we want our team to play.

The CBs are Semi Ajayi,Calvin Bassey,Kenneth Omeruo,Torunigba Jordan,Chiedozie Awaziem and Troost Ekong,so with these guys to pick from we are okay for Afcon

Egbon ese pupo!
Many great minds have left this platform cos of so many disrespectful behavior on here.
We must not allow uncultured children to thrive here.
When we respond with silence to posts that show utter lack of home training, we are empowering such behavior.
And I will not go that route on a faceless forum.
Egbon, My maturity is me not being uncultured to people first! And I have never done that to anyone.
If someone respond to me uncouthly, I will give it back to such person in 1000 folds.
I have nothing to proof to no one here!
Kog45:
Oga Marjori,a piece of advice and I want you to take it..this is a faceless forum where we came up with different ideas and through our posts one can deduce people’s age, maturity level and home backgrounds.

We have seen enough here and what make one a real man is maturity….I have seen guys here I can father but guess what if I don’t maintain my lane I would be rubbished.

I saw a post that tagged me with emoji and I asked what do you mean but till date no response, but guess what, some are worse than what you thought they are…what they are trying to accuse you of,they are doing the same in a very hidden way and only men with inner minded eyes would understand.

Pls take things easy here and let maturity do the talkings cus let it slide does not make you a fool or anyone but for unity of the thread.

Icon4s,forgiveness,Kokmne,icon79,goldfish80,Michael2,thegoodjoe even a lady safarigirl etc don see wotowoto here and their maturities prevailed or what do you want to say on Kokmne but the man always does it with ease regarding each post.

I don't really understand why the coach removed Akor Adams before 60 minutes when they were chasing the game.
Adams was visibly angry. The guy playing the RW was extremely selfish, he prefers to dribble in circles rather than release a through ball for Adams.
Simon didn't really play well glad he got an assist though I stopped watching immediately Adams was subbed out!

A 55% good coach will turn this team to a world class terrorist entity. Jp is just too little.

The question is, must you quote them?
There are some people I will never quote no matter how interested I am in their comment.
Anyone full of abuses, insults and curses on top ordinary football is a no no for me.

iwobi at the wing will be just like using a jeep to pack sand. Has the ability but wrong application.

The world cup qualifiers is around the corner not just Afcon. Rohr qualified for tournaments with relative ease because of a settled backline, the Oyibo wall with Omeruo and Awazeim as the support cast.

The current guys needs a dominant figure to anchor around, I'm talking about Ajayi and Bassey who appear to be the favourite pairing by the coach. You look at the pair and you think something is just lacking. Tomori could have been that guy.

It seems we don't produce midfielders and defenders as much as we have attackers. Have they stopped talking to Tosin Adarabioyo? He has the right profile if you ask me.

Boniface should be what Lautaro Martinez is to Inter milan, dropping to the midfield when we are defending and bursting into the box when attacking. With 2 or 3 defenders paying attention to Osimhen, he will be taking advantage of all the spaces created by Osimhen's movement.
And if he can study the movement of a player like Martinez very well, I can bet that he will be scoring more goals than Osimhen in SE.
