Yes that's true but does our backline inspire such confidence? Of course the deeper you go into a tournament the tougher the opponents you will face and scoring will be more difficult so the coaching crew has to somehow come up with a strategy that reduces the number of attacks we will face cos the defense as currently constituted can't survive sustained pressure from the opposition. Yes, he is on loan from Atletico Madrid and seems well rated within the Wanda Metropolitano. He even scored his first La Liga Goal this season in Matchday 1 against his current parent Club, Atletico while at Granda before Atletico signed him almost immediately and sent him to Alaves on loan for the rest of this season. The lad is one of the several I have been watching closely with respect to a new generation of talents to keep the quality in our Super Eagles up when the likes of Osimhen and Co pass away into their twilight. A real mess. I was disappointed with that and also with the team's overall display (minus the first 30mins or so). In 2023, we are still having to talk about this basic thing on social media/forums. It is very bad. The only positive from Enyimba's showing yesterday for me was Daniel Daga's midfield showing against one of the top 3 midfield packs in African club football despite his tender teen years. Danielnino00: Holiday is one of the best 2 way players in the league but Dame is a different animal. If Steph doesn't exist we are calling Dame the greatest shooter of all time. When I tell u their pick and roll will be deadly, that is not an understatement. Then teams cannot afford to triple team Giannis in the paint because u let Dame, Middleton or Lopez get free looks from 3. I think the Celtics will also be good but they have lost a lot of their depth on the bench. Then u have a Unicorn that can't stay healthy. As for the Nuggets, I feel they should be in the final next season although the Suns, Warriors and Lakers shouldn't be discounted. Even the Thunders will be one year older and that is definitely a team on the rise. |
