There’s one letter and one deposition under oath.

A deposition under oath is not a letter, see how a supposed judge is behaving like.

When you remember this is Nigeria and not Netflix then you will understand this statement from a judge.

We know justice okoro's antecedents, he should go on to approve certificate forgery. Nigerians will remember him for that.
. Hmmm, it's left for the lawyers to school him, before he uses one technical jargon angry

You're okay like this?

One is a letter and the other a deposition under oath.

To you, which is stronger in law?

Oath !

You must have bagged a PHD in law to refute what the legal luminary had said. I guessed it was because his statement wasn't in your mentor's favour. Shior!

Stop believing everything you read on twitter.

One is a sworn statement, the other is a deposition.

The problem is that the judge himself has raised the issue of reasonable doubt

Look at this mod. A deposition gives more insight to a witness statement.

If your affidavit is yes and your deposition is No, then you're not saying the truth and in law, that's where Principle of Orality’ in Litigation comes in.

If you ask me, na who I go ask?

You can rely on the one that favours the highest bidder or you can rely on the one that favours truth and justice. The choice is yours bro.

These judges eehn

Fergie001 correct me if I'm wrong but this was the judge who pronounced that forgery must be proven beyond reasonable doubt in Adeleke's case.
If so, I guess we know where we are going

Actually no. If the person or institution isn't giving the testimony in the court of judgment, it raised the issue of hearsay hence reasonable doubt.

Hahaha, you people are really funny.
Tinubu collected his diploma twice ie in 1979 and 1998 and didn't collect the one that was offer to Enhaniro(sic). He only submited the photocopied of 1998 sample.
What the CSU registrar said was that the sample of INEC diploma was not produce in 1979. Check it well you will see.

Nonny95, the deposition under oath is about the letter, you can't depose in vacuum.

Now The Supreme Court of Nigeria is going to discard evidences before it and to make it's own decisions but rely on a letter from CSU. grin

What a Supreme Court!

The bolded was wrong. The supreme court will simply maintain the status quo since Atiku cannot clearly prove his case.

A deposition in the law of the United States, involves the taking of sworn, out-of-court oral testimony of a witness that may be reduced to a written transcript for later use in court or for discovery purposes. Depositions are commonly used in litigation in the United States.

There’s one letter and one deposition under oath. As a judge, Principle of Orality’ in Litigation must be appreciated.

A deposition under oath is not a letter, infact it gives clearer view to anyone's sworn statement, which the Judge is trying to create technicality for.

If your written statement is yes and during cross examination your yes turns no, then you're not saying the truth.

When you remember this is Nigeria and not Netflix then you will understand this statement from a judge.
