Tinubu may have presented a forged certificate to INEC but the electoral act is clear......you must provide evidence within 180 days after election. Atiku failed on that. Secondly, you can't bring additional evidence that was not presented before the trial court to the Supreme Court. Thirdly, CSU have not issued a public statement disowning Tinubu certificate. What CSU merely did was a deposition, which may not be entertained in Nigeria's Supreme Court. For it to be accepted, CSU will have to enter the witness box and testify against Tinubu, which I doubt CSU is prepared to do.
Atiku will loose on technicalities not that the offense was not committed. T
On your assertion that the CSU Registrar ought to enter the witness box and testify against Tinubu for it to be accepted by the Nigerian Supreme Court, if this is correct then I think Atiku need some refunds from his US Lawyers for not thinking towards this direction.

See CSU are not meant to bring anyone to court... Their deposition is enough and can be tenderd in any law court that is the standard practice
The supreme court should not waste time to admit that CSU documents and critically examine it ... Thiefnibu should not escape on this one, he should be hold accountable for his forgeries

You don't want to accept a third party "VENDOR CERTIFICATE" from US but you want us to accept a deposition in a lady's office in that same US and your claiming it's a normal practice. Are you people normal like this

We all know the supreme court will dismiss and trash the appeals, they lack merit.

Even a lay man like me knows this.

It is like you killed someone but since there was not an eye witness to testify against you , you and your lawyer think you will win the case, but I tell you , you will be surprised with the outcome.

Wait ...

Mynd44:

I said this earlier and someone was arguing with me. If you cannot call the desponent to testify in court, it is mere hearsay as it is assumed that the respondent didn't have a chance to ask questions thereby not defended his/herself. The deposition itself is merely a waste of time if it was not in open court.

As for this
forgery being a criminal offence have to be proved beyond any doubt else you are just playing around

like I said, read the Appeal Court judgment. "Books cannot be cross-examined. Unless the makers of this report present themselves as witness to be cross-examined in court, the report is as worthless as the paper it was written on " those were the exact words of the Justice.

At the initial state of the court proceeding....they are begging the court to accept their fresh evidence after the time for submission of fresh evidence has elapsed...
The evidence will be submitted to the Musa Roasted Suya shop for proper usage...

Forgery is a big offence which has to start with police investigation before it gets to court. Atiku and his team has not done these but want the supreme court to admit it.
So yuv all agree that tinubu forge his certificate abi?

grin grin grin grin Clown dey call people clown grin grin grin

So a deposition in Atiku's lawyer's office in the US is thesame as what was done in court? Na wetin dem dey tell Atiku and his fellow travelers. In court CSU swear on oath that Tinubu graduated and that F on his form was clerical error.

If Atiku get case he knows what to do ....go to lower court and file the case.

But as Olanipekun pointed out...Atiku's original prayer to the court was to cancel the presidential election and declare a rerun between himself (Atiku) and Tinubu.....now Atiku come court say Tinubu wey him wan rerun with is not qualified to run grin grin grin...se Atiku smoke igbo ni abi e wan withdraw his original prayer abi na confusion grin grin grin Na why everyone for court dey laugh grin grin grin grin

I can see APC lawyer saying the constitution should be interpreted as it is. So now it should be interpreted as it is while the 25% mandatory votes in Abuja shouldn’t be interpreted as it is. I can see the double standard. Weldone APC.

Salisu Buhari was speaker and not Senate president.

Salisu Buhari was impeached immediately and never completed his term in office.

If I am a lawyer, I would have reply him in similar way: what would you gain by asking me that question? / What would you gain if you give a wrong judgement?

seeteazain:
Why will a judge who is suppose to be neutral ask a lawyer, "what will you gain if you win this appeal"?. That comment is enough reason to demoralize the lawyer, thus, he had no option than to withdraw the appeal.

Technical crap as usual, everybody knows very well that certificate is forged...The owner himself & u guys who worship him, that's just the simple truth..I always pray God should make very sufficient & content in life so I do not have to embrass myself by glaringly defending what's wrong just because of materialism

Atiku Kojoli Siddiq Abubakar calculation was deliberately to stab Obi at the back.

The permutation is that if his prayer is granted, he would get the support of Obi LP and obidients against Tinubu in a rerun.
