Tuition deposit can be paid through Form A....
Only back market rate is changing, Official rate remain same....
But I understand your point, better to leave fund in dollar than naira...

And who will honor your form A?
Where is the dollar at the official market?
Do you have a willing seller?
I was told to look for seller for my form A 😂
Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 23 by JMG12: 9:30pm On Oct 23, 2023
Sorry about the study visa refusal, I will ask these few questions
1. What is the duration of the program and tuition fee?
2. What is the size of your family?
3. How much did you show as POF?
4. Did you show any assets?
Biomick:

Please Gurus in the house, My wife just got a refusal for her study permit and the only reason is attached.

I am the sponsor and i suspect the funds in my account wasnt enough due to the rising exchange rate or so.

please what can you advise. do we have to start the whole application again from scratch?
Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 23 by AskGod07: 9:32pm On Oct 23, 2023
You can submitting only sponsor bank statement without pay part of your school fees or transfer significant amount to applicant account.

Note: The sponsor need to proof how he/she can be of support to your propose study and the sponsor bank state is trading massively and state how much he/she want to use to support you along with well details Sponsorship letter, letter of affidavit, Sponsorship introduction letter, all sponsor employment related doc and property documents

alphabbey1:

When it comes to sponsorship, the sponsor should show commitment. Pay part of your school fees or part of your living expenses, or transfer significant amount to your account....
Submitting only sponsor bank statement will only make VO believe the sponsor is for demonstration purpose...
You need to provide your bank statment as well

I will suggest you shouldn't be hasty in your decision or make one out of the prevailing economic situation; don't decide without thinking about the consequences, there is always a way out.
Favouralltheway:
So I got approval for study permit; it has also been stamped on my passport.
Now I don’t want to proceed for the study anymore reason being that the spike in exchange rate has messed me up.

I have paid $10,000 tuition which is non refundable except if your visa is denied.

Please guys, as they’ve already approved my visa, is there a way to email IRCC for them to revoke the visa approval so I can get my tuition deposit back.

The money I have left cannot cover my balance of tuition which is $10,000 not to talk of accommodation and living expenses.

Nice one Canfulfilment abeg which province you dey?

Canfulfilment:

Which province are you going to? How many years is your course? When is your study starting?

While I await your response, I will advise you to come for your studies. You can work to pay for accommodation and feed. And get a tuition payment plan from your school. If you are landing in my province, I can get you a job the day you land.

Reading through what you shared
1. Anyone can be the principal applicant, but if you are applying as the principal applicant you need to cover for the study gap
2. Both accounts should be built
3. No, it is not a red flag, so go ahead with the court registry
Fiyincious:
Dear bosses, pls i need advise on how best to approach Canada with fam. Either by me applying for masters or wife applying for a diploma.

My timeline is 1 year.
I intend to start planning and taking steps from now from whatever we might need.

I'm a freelancer but i have a registered biz name /account that has been active with inflows along the years.
I plan to start keeping funds for this travel purpose for Fall program 2024.

I,m 38 (experienced worker but nw freelancer) Wife is 25 (just through with NCE a year ago), we have a year and half old child.

My question are-

(1)Who is best to be the primary applicant? (to study abroad)

(2)Whose account should we build?

(3)Doing court registry this month oct 2023 now. Will this be mature enough to apply for study visa as married couple or will be suspicious as issued in less than a year ahead of Winter or fall program 2024)

Pls advice

Thank you, due to the study Gap you pointed out, I Will prefer she becomes the principal applicant. But I must be the sponsor right?

I'm looking at her age and fresh NCE for her to have gathered the amount to sponsor herself. This won't be a Red flag?

And thanks for the registry advise. I will get that done this month then. (some1 was suggesting backdate bla bla)

Convert and pay into your dom account
That was what I did and I’m not regretting it.

This rarely work please for someone not related to you.... Unless you have a practical experience, kindly leave theory and know the right thing expected to be done when it comes to company sponsorship for student visa.... showing commitment or (and) submitting your bank statement should not be overlooked

However, If you have a practical experience, kindly quote the guy and list the things he is missing, that can save him from selling his house... Tag me also, am open to learning...

Thanks for your response.
My province is Saskatchewan. Saskatoon in Saskatchewan.
My program is for one year; the total tuition is $20,000 and I’ve paid $10,000 and it’s starting Jan 2024

I’ve reached out to my school if I can split the payment for me and they’re kind of insisting that I have to pay the tuition balance before the start of my program in Jan.

If I can even get a job instantly it would be nice. Cos even the news I’m seeing all over SM is not helping. Of people looking for jobs and can’t find and it would be disastrous being stranded in a new country

Except you give your school a visa denial document, they will not refund your money, those guys are stickler for fine print. I will suggest you explore deferring the start date to a date that is within your entry time. Then do the following
1. Draw your budget for the programme.
2, Reach out to all the people you think can help you raise the funds- remove ego and pride now and ask for anything. Nothing is too small now.
3. If you see where you can borrow the funds from and plead with them for repayment in the future, grab it.
4. If your family has a property that can be sold to raise the funds let them sell so long as it won't make them homeless.
5. If you are a church or mosque person, apply to your either of them and beg them for funds, if they have to go collection for you so be it.

Kindly mention the bank name and branch that told you to look for seller for Form A and the month you were told....

After creating an account on the website, you will walk to the branch selected and give the applicant number to the bank supervisor to honour it... most preferable, use the branch of your account officer for easy and faster supervisor approval. After approval, patiently wait for disbursement....

I can’t be naming bank
And I was told around August
Patiently wait for how long?
When you were given 30 days minus 7 days to make payment.

Due to the scarcity of FX this is not advisable.

Banks now have to source for FX.

its saskatchewan, not that bad. ontario is the worst. for every 1 Nigerian, you are competing against atleast 100 indians in the student job labour market. saskat i hear isn't as bad as ontario

Hello colleagues in Japa,
Please i need your candid thoughts on my case?
I and my wife (PA) plan to apply for visa this month end of october or mid November latest but we have not been running the POF in our personal account due to misterpretation given to my spouse by her agent.

So i told her to let us do the application ourselves cause i cant afford to get into trouble with the embassy

So i need help on how to prove 25-30m lump sum if we decided to allow POF agent’s deposit that money in our account?
We hv paid $10k first semester tuition out of the $36k total tuition for A year and half program

Pleasr your opinion will be gracefully appreciated

Thanks
