Bannedlargedx2: Are you saying if you see a talent in one of those lower league ypu should ignore just because a player is in EPL? Why then do teams in the top league scout players in the lower league? We were not talking about quality of league but of players. 1 Like |

komekn: You have avoided replying the analogy made between Balogun and Omeruo meaning you accept defeat in that discussion. That's Good. Now on Jamilu, he is starting game after game for Cardiff at LB. The questions to ask of a defender FIRSTLY aren't offensive questions. They should be defensive questions. In all 11 league games... What is Jamilu's tackles per game? 2.4 per game What is his interceptions per game? 1.5 per game. What is his Tackles won % so far? 73% How many cleansheets has he contributed to? 4 cleansheets. How many clearances per game? 2.3 per game. How many balls recovered per game at LB? 5.8 balls recovered per game Those are his defensive numbers. HE IS A DEFENDER FOR CRYING OUT LOUD. Now to your questions... he has 1 assist🅰️ so far, has created 4 goal scoring chances so far, has Zero MOTM awards this season (HOW OFTEN DO LBs win MOTM? Be honest) and Zero goals (is he a striker?) Jamilu is doing well this season for Cardiff and is part of the reasons they sit 6th (a Playoff spot) in the 24-teams Championship. Even last season on his first start for Cardiff, he won a MOTM award (see below) and went on to star solidly in the next 3 games before long term injury struck. He's since returned and been immediately installed as their First Choice LB. So yes, he's been good for Cardiff. Solid as well. He is having a good time in that overrated 2nd tier league of yours. 😂😁 P.S: This is not a NT call speech for him. It's just testifying to the fact he is one of Cardiff's important players this season. 13 Likes 4 Shares

Alhassan Yusuf starts for Royal Antwerp vs FC Porto in the UCL. Mandela Keita's injury has seen him picked for the First XI finally this season in the UCL. His 4th start across all competitions, 1st UCL Start this season and 2 starts in the league all from 12 games Chidera Ejuke and George Ilenikhena on the bench for Antwerp 3 Likes |

There has been a lot of talk about being favoured because your were born in Europe where football ⚽ is concerned. And players born in Africa given a hard time and discriminated against. That's a load of codswallop if you ask me . Just watched a YouTube video Tottenham supporter going gaga in song for Udogie ( born in Italy not England) lt says a lot about the fans and appreciation for player's irrespective of where they are from. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2Tqtm87133g?si=UVOOiK6PdoMWqXxl |

comodo: Why 😮 I have my opinion and he has his. Mine is simple , never have and never will rate a player with official age 29 who has spent 11 years playing low level football across the mist obscure league and clubs in Europe as quality for the SE. He is doing good for himself but not good enough for the SE. No apologies or prejudice. 3 Likes 1 Share |

If champions league is all about coaching, some clubs would get a loan from the world bank and hire Fabio Capello but I'm afraid there's is more to it than coaching. I think the problem most Nigerians have is that they are very slow to come to terms with the fact that we have so much regressed in football that we are now very much behind a lot of African countries. Granted we were among the dominant forces in the 80s and 90s because we invested in football. We had standard sporting facilities in secondary schools inherited from the colonial masters and so we were able to nurture players from the schools. Where are we today in terms of sports education? What do our clubs train with? Do we think that just because we have won a number of AWCONs then that should translate to success at the club competition level? Guys wake up! Think critically and make the right advocacy!! M7even: |

Whoever invented the system that produced our U17 WC winners in 2013 and 2015 deserves some credit. Aminu Maigari was the NFF president while Bolaji Abdullahi was the sports minister. The system was capital intensive but that financial aspect was outsourced to states like Rivers. It involved scouting young players all over Nigeria and that was how the likes of Ndidi, Matthew, Awoniyi, Iheanacho, Success, Yahaya, Osimhen, Nwakali, Chukwueze, Alampasu, Uzoho were discovered. Imagine how many more players we could have discovered if consistency was a thing in Nigeria. Maybe by now we could have discovered more talented defenders and goalkeepers so we wouldn't be here all day debating who is better between two mediocre defenders. Mind you we used that system because we don't have professional clubs in Nigeria. Professional clubs all over the world have academies. 8 Likes 4 Shares |

That is the problem. Beyond their physical aggressive approach and speed in transitions, individually the team still lacks that special game changing quality. Their aggressive style worked against PSG who were lackadaisical but it failed them against a near-disciplined dortmund side. Organised Gra Gra no dey pay all the time. charlesemeka85: 2 Likes |

comodo: Dude and his poor Paderborn team played one anonymous season in the Bundesliga and were promptly relegated back to Bundesliga 2, where they c as me from Paderborn conceded more goals than any one else in 2019/20 Bundesliga they only won 4 games. This was there first season in Bundesliga and they were very poor. 1 Like |

=ChrisKels How did you mean one is static and the other a roamer? If Osimhen is the static one, why not bench him for Awoniyi while Boniface roams, after all, the EPL is better than Serie A? Or better yet, bench Boniface in order to play two static strikers with no one to roam. Oga you can not leave out your player that plays in the EPL just because you want a balance and a stable team. Don't tell me that please. 😡. Now I understand. |
