Abel Ogwuche was solid. He was the aggressor in the CB pair and the aerial winner. Benjamin was like the libero of the two. Excellent ball playing, solid in the tackles, intelligent game reader at the back. Benjamin was the full defensive package at Argentina 2023 U20 WC. Without Benjamin, we got exposed at the back vs Brazil. With him back, we owned Argentina. That is exactly just how important and impactful he was. elyte89: 3 Likes 2 Shares |

I am happy you are keeping eyes on the lads. We know Umeh and Nnadi already but Samuel Akere (scored a brace) is still not known to most on this thread. Former U17 lad who also needs to be watched closely. Time will tell. maidaboi: 1 Like 1 Share |

So we have Rasheed, Adeleye who are starters in their 1st tier clubs sides. Add Nwabili. We just need dependable and available keepers that keep week in week out. |

Michael Olise is considering changing international allegiances from France to Algeria. The Crystal Palace Football Club winger is very open to this idea and discussions between the parties will take place soon. (Source: x/Djaameel_) |

Samueltemi337: Wow! This is awesome. I love this and I pray it happens sooner than later. Dude never liked anything Nigerian. He was even openly celebrating Algeria's win over Nigeria in the AFCON, calling it their(him included) win. This is the type of commitment I respect not playing games like Eze did with us. 3 Likes |

AndSunGorilla:I don’t know why I don’t rate Daga much as many do here Maybe because we hv CDMs with similar playing style to his. To me he is just a good shield with decent ball playing ability just like ndidi,Onyeka, bonke. Currently in the super eagles the one who is a bit different imho is onyedika. The way he glides with the ball coupled with good eyes for a through pass is lovely. Sometimes I wonder why he isn’t rated as much as he deserves here but I know in no distant time he will gain his recognition after a move to a bigger league In the last u20 Nnadi was more matured and assured on the ball when compared to others in the team’s midfield. He is one who calls for passes in midfield no matter how tight he is positioned. Has good agility and pace as well as footballing intelligence, also he is a good ball carrier which makes me believe that he is well built for the b2b role and one who will man that position for the super eagles in years to come Another I rate too is Eletu, that kid will grow to become a superb CDM,CM. For his age his awareness, skill set and footballing intelligence is commendable, the reason he is highly regarded in Milan U19 team. Milan fans even tip him as one who deserves a chance in the first team 3 Likes 1 Share |

How many here even rate Daga? And are you saying Daga can't pass? So you didn't take note of his passing eye as well. Daniel Daga's style isn't similar to the CDMs we have currently in Ndidi, Onyeka (who can't play single pivot well), or even Innocent Bonke What stands Daga out is his fine blend of physical athleticism and technicality for a lad so young. He is a good ball carrier, can drive vertically out of a press, is press resistant and knows how to receive as a single pivot (as a linkman) between Defence and midfield. Daga, like Onyedika are midfielders built for the 1st and 2nd phases of plays. Are you aware Daga's passing range is also as good as Onyedika's? Daga has the potential to be the well rounded CDM Athlete blessed with good technical traits as well. Like a Declan Rice if I am to make traits analogies. Onyeka, Ndidi and Bonke aren't decent 1st phase midfielders. They don't know how to comfortably receive on the half turn from the back and link our plays forward. They are 2nd phase midfield lads. The way you don't see Daga's qualities is same way some didn't see or understand Onyedika's qualities until he shone vs Mozambique when given the Pivot role in midfield paired with a pivot partner that bombs forward. Daga is special. Same as Akinsanmiro. Same as Eletu. Nnadi is a solid talent but he doesn't hold d middle together like Daga does (this would become clearer with time if the two develop as I hope). His Box to box quality could be seen because Daga was disciplined enough to sit and allow his other midfield lieutenants shine. When it comes to profiling midfielders, I rarely or almost never miss it when talking what a midfielder truly brings to a team or to the table. In time, you will come to see what you don't see about Daga same way many here didn't see in Onyedika what I saw a long time ago. charlesemeka85: 1 Like 1 Share |

TheSuperNerd:okay ooo but make this Daga no be your new nwakali 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 Just posted what I observed from the few times I hv seen him play at the same time not disputing all you said about the lad Not saying that he is trash/mediocre, he can improve and blossom to a world class player in the nearest future but for now to be honest I don’t see anything special but just another ndidi, bissouma, bonke(regular African CDM) etc kind of player 🤣🤣🤣 My focus is more on DLP/CAM/CMs for the super eagles. Players that can dictate and orchestrate play for us not side ways passers and jam body players cus we get enough of them 🤣🤣🤣 1 Like |

CAF shouldn't bother inviting another Nigerian team for the next edition of the African league... We always get exposed in tournaments like this... We have failed to invest in our football and the results show when we have to face African oppositions in the local scene.. Just look at the rubbish enyimba is playing 8 Likes |

Your focus is on DLP/CAM/CMs and you don't see how even the "old Nwakali" fits in? As usual, your observation isn't top notch on player profiling. Ofcos. It's a tale of the same. Just like you didn't know Nwakali fits the DLP mould, that's the same way you don't seem to see how Daga, the "new Nwakali" fits the Volante-CDM profile. It is well. This is how I profiled Onyedika, Alhassan and most didn't see the plot. I also profiled Onyeka as a brawns profile but you argued he was more important and technical compared to Nwakali and co.m because he fares in the EPL. Some observation you really make, Emeka. charlesemeka85: 1 Like 1 Share |
