Good afternoon Duches! Please I need a clarification on something, my wife's surname was used when she renewed her passport in 2021 a month after we married. Her surname is used on 2 visas she has uptill now. She has made a publication of change of names already since 2021. We plan to move to UK nextyear. And yes she would start using my surname right from the application.Could there be any controversies on the outcome of our applications especially on me as dependant? |

Just to chip in this, although I don't know your plans. Hope you know that,as a student ,you can't bring in dependants as from 15th Jan,2024 except on masters by research or PhD programs. BishopEmmanuel: |

Hello Interesting thread and figures of people who do not have funds to study getting UK Visas thanks for sharing Before policy changes are made, a lot of information gathering is done. The way people were screaming that it was unfair to ban masters students from bringing dependants, I hope they won’t be upset when conditions like blocked accounts are made before a study visa is approved It’s only a matter of time Cheers Atk1nson: |

Hello Wife surname I assume you mean maiden name She should stick to whatever name she has on her international passport (even if it is her maiden name) for her application. 2.There are no implications on your end as her husband since you have your marriage certificate and other evidence to show that your marriage is substantial (real) Cheers BishopEmmanuel: |

Hello If it meets the requirements of minimum 28days then that should be fine 2. As everyone has said, paying more fees will be more beneficial in the long run Cheers sogba1145: |

Thewritingnerd: Unemployed immigrant blames landlords for asking for 6 months' rent or a guarantor rather than asking where he can get a guarantor since he does not have the cash to pay six-month rent. Paints gloom and doom over employment prospects in the UK when he has only been applying for a job for one month. He may not even have the right kind of CV, to be applying in the right places. The guy may not even have his NI number yet. Moans that it costs him a lot to come over. Does Rishi Sunak control the exchange rate? Gloom and doom picture by someone who came on a very-shoe-string budget and rather than ask for help or guidance is complaining so much after just 1 month. Not interested in talking about it more though. Anyone interested can embrace his way of thinking. I do not fancy his odds of success. 4 Likes 1 Share |

I have two questions. 1) For proof of funds, when can I start putting the money in my account? Before I get admission or after I got the admission or after I've paid the school fees deposit. 2)What is the pounds rate today? |
Re: Uk Student Visa/tier 4 Pbs - Your Questions Answered Part 9 by Cartoonmakun: 1:34am On Oct 28, 2023 |
Born2conquer: Your question is not that straight forward, please note you must put your school fees balance and you living expenses inside or outside London in your bank account for 28 days before you apply for your visa , that means you leave the money in your account for 28 days between that 28 days you can be doing small transactions daily For your rate check oanda.com for the current rate |

How did it go at last I am currently on this issue quote author=Ezegees post=124671730]Please I did biometric on 19th. I’m a dependent. I got this message but don’t understand. Thank you for applying for a UK visa. Your visa application has been received and is under consideration. We aim to process non settlement applications within 15 working days (unless you have opted for the Priority Visa service), and settlement applications within 120 working days. Unfortunately, the processing of your application has not been straightforward and we will be unable to decide your application within our customer service targets. We are continuing to work on your application and aim to make a decision as soon as possible. We will write to you again if there is any change to this. Please do not attend the Visa Application Centre until you have been advised that your application has been decided and that your passport is ready for collection. Kind Regards, UK Decision Making Centre[/quote] |
