Could anyone help identify the man in the picture below? I saw Shehu Shagari, ọn X where I got hold of the thread, some mentioned Tafabalewa.

But away from the man identity, could this really happen in today's age when the white folks has the baton in race supremacy. Thesame way we've seen our uniformed policemen guides and cover foreign investors with a shield of umbrella.

Lol. I'm just as confused as you would be after seeing this. grin grin

What is special about the picture?

A Nigerian President in the company of another President (probably), and they have umbrellas held over both their heads by the aides/staff of that other President.

My point exactly. If this really happened indeed, it must be when the so called white people never see us finish. But will never happen again. Black people needs to fix their sh*t to deserve such respect they duely deserve. This people solely depend on the resource in africa to keep developing their lands, then they have to be the one giving us the kind of respect we give them
Re: This Is Definitely Not A Photoshop by SWaccomodator: 10:41am On Oct 28, 2023
Them don see black man finish, fixing shit will solve nothing.

We are as plain as empty bottle.

We owe loans

We purchase weapons from them.

All bank purchases are approved by them for investment.

So🤷

Oh nah…

It’s a very special picture. Special moment in history that can never happen again.

In fact if it was present day… and an African president was visiting and it started raining. He would definitely be left out in the cold rain.

Pun intended!

NPN was well known for rigging and bribery.

The 1983 election was very instructive.

No,seriously, I am shocked some people forget how bad the second republic was. The army had no business overthrowing them though, that was treason. But it does not make the rigging invisible.

Yes, it would happen again.(For many years, the Soviets and the Chinese were on bad terms because the Soviets sent delegations that got into arguments with the Chinese...which led eventually to China getting close to the USA.....).

And back then, racisim in those days was even worse than it is now.

Also, it was the height of the cold war. The big powers were competing with each other for the likes of African nations.

Well there were too many world leaders around, and the logistics of cramming all of them and their entourages in one place, plus the problem of limited parking space is why they all ended up in the buses. The UK government had no choice. Either they close off too many streets and drag in too much security...or they use busses.

Yes the US got premium treatment, because they have been saving the UK's ass since the 1940's....

Think again, old man. Consider that the leaders in the bus included a lot of WHITE countries.

Then the seating arrangements....commonwealth countries, including a lot of black leaders first, then other world leaders, USA included behind.

I ain't excusing the UK. I am just pointing out that when you have the problem of hosting a large number of VIP people at the same time in a capital city, you try your best to accomodate everyone at the same time, and not inconvience too much people.

If Nigeria had a similar event, something like that could happen.

Also, much of London was built before the car came into being.

Here is a report from the UK Guardian

It said the government “regrets that, because of limited space at the state funeral service and associated events, no other members of the principal guest’s family, staff or entourage may be admitted”.

The guidance adds: “The royal funeral unit would therefore be grateful if accompanying delegations can be kept as small as possible. This will also reduce disruption and transit time at airports. Where possible, overseas representatives should plan to arrive in the UK at least one day before the state funeral or the first event, which they are attending.”

It also says Heathrow will not be available for private flight arrangements or aircraft parking and says heads of state should use other London airports if they cannot fly commercially. It says the government will decline the use of helicopter transport because of the sheer volume of guests.

The guidance also advises foreign leaders that “it will not be possible to display flags at any airport for arrival or departure”.

London’s streets are unable to cope with the volume of private cars of foreign leaders expecting to attend the funeral. Instead, they will be taken to a separate site in London where the government will “provide coach transport from a central assembly point … Because of traffic restrictions, it will not be possible for guests to travel to such events in their own vehicles.

And here is Buzzfeed

But other world leaders opted for the buses, including Irish Prime Minister Micheál Martin, Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese, New Zealand Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern, King Abdullah II of Jordan, Tanzania President Samia Suluhu Hassan, Kenyan President William Ruto, Malaysian Agong Al-Mustafa Billah Shah, Singaporean President Halimah Yacob, Japanese Emperor Naruhito, Polish President Andrzej Duda, and German President Frank-Walter Steinmeier.

Infact, Ardern of New Zealand is even quoted later in the above report as stating that she liked the idea.

And as you can see, the leaders above were white, black and asian.

No, I am serious, and for the record, I am not defending the last election or the other elections we have had since 1999. I am even someone who does not like all the governments we have voted in since 1999.

But 1983 election was not pristine. There was massive rigging and massive changing of results. Massive bribery and corruption. It is there in any good history book on Nigeria.

Could be Shehu Shagari. How times have changed. Now, they feel disgusted seeing Tinubu anywhere close to them. The man went to India and was rejected by other world leaders. It was so bad he was pictures standing so lonely while watching India's prime minister discussing and snapping pictures with other world leaders. He also went to Washington for a global event but Biden refused to sit down and discuss with him.

By the time FBI files are released, he won't even dare to step out of Nigeria again.
