Respects to Thomas Frank. Always rated him. A sound manager and tactician. Onyeka has always been under a fine coach from day 1. A coach who recognises his strengths lie in him being featured as a BTL CM and not as a single pivot CDM. 1 Like 1 Share

Kenneth has been solid in recent times for Kasimpasa and in the GWG. He is a player I can't wait to replace and to get good CB upgrade on but for now, truth be told, he is our most reliable CB heading into the Afcon and also our best tournament CB for the last 3 major tournaments. And this is so because like you said, the others haven't shown they are better. Note: He played yesterday and was solid. Joebie: 1 Like |

TheSuperNerd:for him not to even make any attempt yet in discussing with Michael Folorunsho who is a regular for Hellas Verona in serie A implies that the man’s scouting is very poor. It shows high level of incompetence and negligence when the national team aren’t blessed with good number of decent/average midfielders currently What tops it all is him saying openly that he didn’t know that Atubolu qualifies to play for Nigeria. The day I saw Akatugba’s post about it made me hide by face in shame for the type of coach the NFF employed to coach the super eagles As for the upcoming AFCON am not expecting much though miracles do happen |

To be honest, I even forgot about Michael Folorunsho probably because I don't rate his MF profile as much but yes, JPes not also reaching out to him, a lad in Serie A (a more visible league than Belgium or Portugal) is shambolic. Like you, I do know circumstances can ride the team's chances on a good scale but then with Peseiro one simply should guard their expectations. Time will tell. I look forward to the November WCQ games first. charlesemeka85: 2 Likes |

Afcon is even still 78days away. Let us see if he will stay in such form for the WCQs in November while watching the other CB options as well. Fact is with none of the capped CBs currently convince us, so it won't be a bad idea to give Igoh Ogbu a try before Afcon finally slaps us in the face. Joebie: 1 Like |

Thank you Maidaboi. This is another angle to why I laugh at Peseiro's call for/contact with Alhassan. Alhassan has what we need in the middle but truthfully he has been benched more times this season than played from the start. He hasn't hit the form he showed before his injury so Peseiro's search for MF reinforcements with the profile I know we need in the team should have taken him towards Portugal. To a lad in form. To a lad doing well regularly. Alhassan has some of the skillsets we need in the middle just like Nwakali and Onyedika does in tandem with an Iwobi. But Alhassan needs more time to alsobag more minutes under his belt. That UCL game was ONLY his 4th start all season. maidaboi: 1 Like |

Ofcourse. What's the point of inviting Ogbu if he won't be played? JPES shouldn't bother calling him up at all if he has no plans to play him. He can just work with the CB options we have if that's the case. Joebie: 2 Likes |

Joebie: I posted a thread on twitter/X earlier this afternoon addressing this. It is left to Peseiro to decide who pairs Omeruo heading the Afcon because left to me, an Ogbu must be invited and played against either of Lesotho or Zimbabwe in November before I make up my mind on the beat CB pair having seen all CB options. But in the case we work with those Peseiro have seen, then let Jpes make his pick. This is the thread.... https://twitter.com/007Supernerd/status/1718246973302595819?t=9ajuq4-olOerZx8FFeQB5A&s=19 1 Like 1 Share

Gavi showing the world just how vital he can be in defensive transitions just as he is effective in offensive transitions. He is showing the merits of having a midfielder so blessed in the technical aspects as much as he is in the physical aspects of the game. A truly combative technical midfield "brat". Lad has contributed massively to keeping Bellingham quiet today. It worries me how some folks can watch football and ask "what does Gavi even do?" Watch el classico and get some of your answers. 1 Like 1 Share |

And then Bellingham still finds a way to score. Relentless lad. What a smash from outside the box. But still kudos to Gavi. Jude will be on a brace or Hattrick by now if not for his (Gavi's) performance. Bellingham really thriving in that pocket role behind the twin forwards. Him crashing the box multiple times gives him more opportunities for goals than even several strikers in the game. This is why he keeps bagging in Ancelotti's 442-diamond (sometimes called a 4312). Truth is I know Madrid still needs a striker as for the long run, they cannot keep hanging their goals hopes on a midfielder in Bellingham especially if they will challenge for titles this season especially the UCL.
