Tithes and offering are gifts given to God. Thus the tithes and offerings are a reflection of one’s love for God and is given freely.

The Apostle Paul writes, “Each man should give what he has decided in his heart to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion for God loves a cheerful giver. And God is able to make all grace abound to you, so that in all things at all times, having all that you need, you will abound in every good work.” (II Cor. 9:7–cool.

So in my opinion, “Are you suppose to pay tithes to your own church if you’re the pastor?”

As a pastor or not; are you supposed to pay tithe at all

Anyways, though I am an unbeliever of your storybook, yet I will help you.

Hebrews 7:5–9
NIV

5 "Now the law requires the descendants of Levi who become priests to collect a tenth from the people—that is, from their fellow Israelites —even though they also are descended from Abraham."
6 "This man, however, did not trace his descent from Levi, yet he collected a tenth from Abraham and blessedn him who had the promises."
7 "And without doubt the lesser is blessed by the greater."
8 "In the one case, the tenth is collected by people who die; but in the other case, by him who is declared to be living."
9 "One might even say that Levi, who collects the tenth, paid the tenth through Abraham"

Take note of the highlighted, verse 9 in particular.

The question is who is Paul and why should you believe your slave master and colonial masters about Paul

Taxation model keeps evolving from generation to generation because the poor must feed the rich

You're ignorant about Paul.

Paul is an apostle Jesus appointed from heaven!

Paul was on the way to Damascus and a light shone on him asking why he is persecuting him. Paul learnt the voice came from Jesus. He became blind and was healed later...

Christians are to listen to Paul as he is one of the last apostle of Christ.

Yes..

Pastors should pay tithe. The one of the family members is not debatable..they are not the pastor na..so, they are church members.
As for the pastor, pay tithe of tithes...it can be paid to another Church.

If a store owner goes to his store and pays for the goods already his own, which pocket does the money return to?

He is only decieving himself and such payments are done mostly as eye service.

Please, quit this heresy... God does not take Tithes or Offerings.

When you give in church, you are not giving to God but to help His work or members of the body of Christ.

The only thing that concerns God is the state of purity of your heart and soul.

Aren't you people tired of over-flogging this Tithe matter?!! Why does your need to extort people of their hard earned money exceed your desire to raise godly people?!!

Haba!!!

grin grin

Who eats church tithes should be the real question because I know God doesn't care about our tithes and offerings

And any church owned by one person is his business or company fully registered at the CAC

All Nigerian pastors are business men and women

In other words, you are asking if Pastors and their families should obey God's word?

The word of God does not exempt anybody or any title.
Everyone under the Heavens is bound to obey the Word of God . Each and everyone of us irrespective of title , or whatever religion we claim , we all will be judged by the Word of God.

The HOLY BIBLE is the Word of God.

Your first premise is wrong. Tithes are not given to God.

It's quiet sad and unfortunate what pastors have turned Tithe unto so sad indeed.

The Tithe payers grows lean, wretched and poor the Tithe receives grows fat, build mansion, by 4x4 machine for Otobo and Iyabo Ojo, buy private jets, children best school, wearing most expensive designers pls is that how God is wicked?

Pls let's go to church in peace this morning this is not the time for Tithe headache discussionpls.

If you can't give account on how money is being spent in your church, you won't see my tithe, shishi you won't see from me. You can't be collecting money from me buying private jets, feeding your family and claiming it's from your god...you dey mad!

Jesus is the end of the law of righteousness, so the law of tithing died with Jesus on the cross.

Rom 10:4 KJV For Christ is the end of the law for righteousness to every one that believeth.

That's why all are blessings are now in Jesus Christ

Eph 1:3 KJV Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ:

Notice it said all not some
