genkins: I don turn "bro" Lol... I thought I was typing from the poverty capital of the world? 😂 What changed? 😲 Nna nwanne ... I can't convince you or tell you anything you don't know already. I believe it is God's instruction I believe it is right to obey God I believe Tithing is like Tax too, that is what the Kingdom of God runs on. I believe as a faithful member of the kingdom, I should support the work of the kingdom Most importantly, I tithe because I love God and His servants and His work. I no get power to show you scriptures. I speak for myself alone. Shalom! 5 Likes |

rinzylee: Ok now u are sounding sensible. Second question.where did your god say u should give him monetary tithe? You believe ?where did u get that believe from? You believe tithing is like a tax...do they run a theocracy in Nigeria or UK?ok,it's in kingdom?lol You tithe because you love God?in the scriptures,is there any where that connots that to show your love for God,you should tithe? You believe it's God instruction?who told you that? See ehn, these questions nobody can ask from where you are coming from but as an adult, you should use your God given head to ask and answer these questions and not just..I believe..where u born with the believe?wasn't it implanted in you by people that were obviously less informed? 3 Likes |

rinzylee: Free will giving to the work of God or to the needy is biblical. You do that as your spirit leads you and you do that without making a public show of it. Tithes and offering is a scam used by fraudulent Christian religious leaders to enrich themselves. If your spirit touches you to give to a pastor or a church member do it without expecting anything in return. God instructed the Israelites to give a tithe of their agricultural produce (exclusively livestock and grain) to the Levites. The Levites were the physical descendants of Levi, who had no inheritance in the land of Israel. it was intended to provide sustenance for the Levites who were responsible for the work in the temple and had no inheritance in the land of Israel as stipulated by the law (Numbers 18:21-32). Secondly, the tithes were also meant to be a source of nourishment for the poor (Deuteronomy 14:27-29), which was collected every three years (NOT MONTHLY). |

The best bet at accomplishing major financial breakthrough and comfort is by being self-employed. On the long run, the 9-5 salaried rat race ain't sustainable and keeps putting me off each time I reflect upon it. |

Na so someone say him dey earn £49k but the money no dey reach do anything cos him dey repay debt to the wife for bringing him to the UK. The advice he got on this thread is to dust his CV and look for a higher paying job. To those who are still trying to settle and manage their life in the UK, no let all this big figures for this thread make you come dey put unnecessary pressure on yourself or look down on your current hustle o. Guys I'm in a dilemma regarding my tuition and will need your advice please. I'm in the last semester of my master's and have about £2500 outstanding. The problem is I've been changing naira to pounds to pay to this stage since Form A became unreliable. I'm left with the hope of 2m which is just around £1400 at the current black market rate. I've told the school that I'm working on it but they won't stop sending reminders. With the look of things I can't pay up until I finish and resume full time employment. I once sent them an email explaining the situation of things how the sudden FX hike has almost tripled the fee from the anticipated amount. I don't know if anyone else is having or has had the same experience. How are you going about it please? I'll appreciate any advice I can get as the frequent emails and threat of potential withdrawal from the school has started affecting my wellbeing. I don't like being in debt. It makes me worry and lose concentration. Thanks |

Progressivegee:If its care or warehouse u apply to,u can't make those figures.i was with someone months ago that said black man won't be given permanent role etc ..if u have those kind of people as friends, cut them off. Most of us that came from Nigeria had careers in IT,Banking,Project MGT,etc Don't rely on what they call UK experience. Just certify up if u did not and apply to what fits your profile.if u get rejection,e nor ko pain u say u get rejection from cleaning job..my 2 cents. |

Progressivegee: What were you doing in Nigeria before heading to the UK? Therein lies the answers If you have transferable skills, you won't have issues. Most of the people who got good jobs I know used to work at Andela, Microsoft etc so it's just a continuation of what they used to do in Nigeria but with better pay 1 Like |

babajeje123:It may be insulting but what if it's the truth? A lot of people that preach it do it either out of ignorance or to scam people. That's why you hardly hear them teach the unfavourable passages about tithing. They also do not tell you that if you obey the law of tithing, you must obey all the other laws or you are cursed (No be me talk am, na bible). People should study the bible and find out the following: What is tithe? Who should pay it? Who should it be paid to? How should it be paid? When should it be paid? If you start with these questions and sincerely answer them, people will be better informed. Another potential scam that is creeping into chritianity is "first fruit". I once led a bible study where this was the topic and I could not teach it because the references given in the manual did not in anyway support it and they "twisted" it to fit the narrative. Years later, I attended an oyinbo church and the preacher tocuhed on first fruit and how it was done and my eyes opened. I asked him after the service about paying first fruit and his question to me was "Is it an African thing?" I was the second African to ask him about that. Since then I have not paid it. 3 Likes |
